About toxic contaminants in calves:
I talk briefly in this podcast about some new research being done to uncover the effects of contaminants in first born calves. To clarify, research has already been done that proves contaminant concentrations are higher in first borns (see reference below) and the research, currently being done by Chloe Kotik, is exploring the relationship between these contaminants and first-born mortality.
