Some of the greatest voices which ever made it to vinyl in this episode, and Chubby never really got enough credit for his astoundingly energetic road work and his treasure box of great recordings- even ones you might have never heard, like his cover of "Back In The USSR"! These are rock and roll LEGENDS here, many who laid down the ground work for the genre. Go through the clips posted here on the channel. You'll see quite a few classic rock bands. The Midnight Special was about spotlighting all areas of contemporary music, not just one aspect.

@@timguzz8844 These individuals and groups ARE classic rock. These songs ARE the inception of rock and roll. There are songs from the latter 50's and from the early to mid 60's here. Some of them are what's known as fast dances (twist, pony, limbo, jitterbug) and others are slow dances (bear hug, 3 step waltz derivative). Music is evolutionary. The 1964 British Invasion (Beatles, Stones) continued the evolution of rock and roll. Motown moved R&B along. Phil Spector moved rock and roll along. Perhaps when you say classic rock you mean music starting around 1967 - Zeppelin, Vanilla Fudge). That's great music! And it evolved from earlier classic rock as written and performed by the people in and associated with this video. You know what is great? You have music that you love and enjoy listening to! And that music doesn't need a genre or a category. It is YOUR music!
