In Episode 20 we start off with two new products from Jetleds - a detachable trolling set up and detachable crab pot holder which both utilise the metal LinQ billet latches. The detachable trolling set up would have come in very handy for the fish we caught in this episode as they were all caught trolling.
Jojo and I head out from Mooloolaba chasing Spotties and Longtail with the trusty 55g Halco slugs. We found a few bust ups but unfortunately the fish would not touch the slugs.
Switching it up we head out to the beacon off Mooloolaba and try trolling around 8knots with the Halco 190 Crazy Deep Diver which sits about 9m below the surface level.
BANG - first fish is a Spanish Mackerel. Next one is a decent sized Spottie and the fish are on. We lose a couple including a Skipjack - however there's plenty in the fishbags by lunch time and we head back not long after.
In "Cooking with Josiebeth" there's a delicious NANNYGAI CURRY - with just the right spice level.
Following on is Legacy Footage with some footage of my Father with "Bell's Mobile Generators' - his windmill set up back in the day that converted wind in the 80's into electricity that charged the second battery and kept his beer cold.
I hope you enjoy Episode 20.
