Thank you Jessica! So sorry that we didn't get the chance to meet you, that was one heck of a windstorm. This video was actually filmed about a week and a half before that windstorm. We were due to travel this past Sunday from the Sierra mountains south of Lake Tahoe (next week's episode) to the southern Cascades of Northern California. , That windstorm prompted us to hole up at Washoe Lake and complete our journey on Monday.

We stayed there just 2.5 weeks ago and really enjoyed it. PERFECT time of year to be there. We were also on loop A and highly recommend - but come mid-day on a Sunday to get a spot. While the water faucets dripped way too much to keep on ("city water" mode), I simply filled out fresh water tank in about 20 minutes, turned off the faucet, and use our pump in "dry camping" mode. This campground is also about 15 from every store you'd need - Walmart, Home Depot, etc.

We very well may have crossed paths, Alan, for that's just about when we were there. We arrived early afternoon on Memorial Day Monday (akin to arriving on Sunday in a normal week) and while the park was mostly full, we did manage to find a few open sites to choose from. No doubt that we agree. Thanks, Gord. Timing for this stop was a bit weird for us. We normally move each Sunday; however, we stayed at Lahontan until the Memorial Day Monday due to the holiday. Then, that following Sunday I had to drive to Palm Springs on a business trip. That meant that we couldn't move on Sunday as usual, and moving on Friday or Saturday meant that finding a good boondocking site would be harder due to weekend campers. So instead we moved on Thursday, which meant that we only had 3 days at Washoe Lake.
