Love your garden. You said running the washing machine water down the plants. I’m sure you’re not using chemical detergents. Can you share which natural detergents do you use?

Thanks for the inputs. How do you monetise the farm to make it self sustaining?
@farmaanandaa
11 ай бұрын
By having several streams of income .. like a shop, a farm stay, workshops, organic farmers market, sustainable House tours, farm tours etc.. You need to think beyond food to be self sustaining. No one wants to pay for food. Agri business is unsustainable without govt subsidies (worldwide)

Introduce rabbits and ducks in your farm that will be good for ecosystem and also enhance beauty

Hi - I have a lawn that clearly has rodent infestation. Also, when I went to get familiarised with the garden, I got attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes. I want to restore it but I think rodents are not going to let any vegetation grow there. Any ideas on how to get rid of rodents & reduce mosquitoes ?
@farmaanandaa
Жыл бұрын
Mosquitoes must be breeding in some stagnant water. Pls find the source and either drain out the water, or if it cannot be drained, add some fish to it. For rodents pls keep cats. Even snakes will help with the rodent, so if you have not left any space for wildlife in your land, pls consider leaving a wildlife zone

Nice , It seems you dont have problem from Monkeys... In our place whatever we grow almost 70% go to Monekey... Its very difficult to control them , They come in pack of 50-100 at a time and smash up everything... Cant use Guns to scare them because of Govt restriction.... Life have become hell here in western ghats of Karnataka.

We do have monkeys and they eat mangoes too. But they are in small numbers. Unfortunately we have destroyed their habitat, so they have no option but to invade ours.
