Yep a vegan and a knitter here! 🙂 I have a flock of 20 rescued sheep that all know their names and are so sweet and loving. They need to be sheared twice a year and therefore I still use wool to knit with.

I am a sheep farmer, and I definitely appreciate the meat and fleece my animals (which I care for immensely), I know it can be a touchy subject. It is so needed to get back to our roots. By avoiding and ignoring the subject we depreciate the value of our beautiful animals. So thanks for sharing 😌

I agree! The more we talk about it the more people will appreciate the entire process of farming and where our yarn comes from ☺️

This was lovley! As a vegan, i try to use as much natural and local resources as I can (wool as well), so I really appreciated your talk and thought’s on farming and traditional methods. But personally I think it’s better to eat local if you can, than ship all your stuff from the other side of the world so I really don’t mind the meat talk 😅 even tho i don’t think i could eat meat again if i really did not have to, after all these years.

I agree that eating/shopping as local as you can is so important! And also such a great way to support the local farmers ☺️

This is so fun! I am so glad I found this video! Also with me being a vegan knitter who used to raise sheep, I appreciate people who want to learn how to respect sheep throughout the process.

How fun you used to raise sheep! There are actually quite a few people commenting who do and I think it’s so cool. I’d love to get more involved in the process myself. Anyways, thank you for watching ☺️

Loved this video! Where’d you get your sock blocker?? I also don’t really block but I’m thinking it might help them dry quicker after washing!

I think I got them from Knit Picks! They would definitely help with drying them ☺️ sometimes I use them to reshape socks if they get weird in the washer!
