Just finished attending 4 talks on the Flame of Love with John Sullivan. Fr Meek’s above homily ties into the core principal that suffering is required of us. Learning to die to self and to put others first is far better than just praying.

Thank you Father Meeks. Your homilies are always so insightful and helpful. The references to the “time”, place, and culture of the reading make the homily more useful. Sadly, your wonderful skills in making the reading applicable to current day are lacking in so many priests that I experience 🙏🏻🕊✝️🕊🙏🏻

I heard that Father started his own KZitem channel after he retired but I don’t know how to find it, can anybody out there help me please? Thank you.

It's this same channel. All of his videos post retirement are listed under the videos tab. (I use a desktop computer, not sure if it's the same if you use a phone or other device). The first episode is titled "You Can Go Home Again". I believe he does still give an occasional mass at his parish, and is helping the new priest, so this episode is his homily at the parish.

@@gertrude6737Where are the videos that Father Meeks uploaded from his home after his retirement? I'm referring to the videos where Father Meeks is seen at his home. All the videos under the VIDEOS tab on this channel appear to be taped during Mass at the church. Thank you.

@@vivianpowell1732 The thumbnail pictures are of him at Mass, but most of the videos are of him at home. The first episode was about 7 months ago. It is titled "You Can Go Home Again, Episode 1". And they are posted in chronological order after that.

@@gertrude6737 Thank you! The thumbnails had me confused. I clicked a couple of recent videos under the VIDEOS tab and saw that they were ones taped by Father Meeks from his home.

If the greatest sacrifice that a man can do is to lay his life down for others, then one may wonder what is the purpose of paying money to go to college to get a degree.

The hour has come then verses many hours of study for your degree. Unto another analogy. 🤔

so as to be made into masters of the craft exercising our God given talents in service of our neighbour - doctors, nurses, teachers, builders, garment makers, farmers ... Nobody knows the day or the hour ... but ... be found at the plough!
