You and rich are some of the only guys who actually share their gear values and speed secrets. I cant stand those guys who are like “ I cant tell you my gear ratio it’s secret” I literally want to punch them in the face. Thank you so much for sharing these secrets Raz. Amazing vid. Most speed runners won't show you their hardware/software setups. The fact that you reveal your setups deserves mad respect! Thanks for the walkthrough on setting up quad motor on perfect pass launch controller and doing all the guess work for us. Note! You can copy Raz's setups, but can you run just as fast? Doubt it! This man is a master of the trade! Thanks for bringing interesting content in the speed run RC world category to your viewers.

Not necessarily. It was already dropping down to 280C with a set temp of 450, which means it wasn't able to provide enough power to heat up that much solder and wire. A bigger chisel would only give a bigger instant heat load when applied, and not affect the continuous maximum output.

I have similar "mobile" iron (TS100) and use it almost exclusively and it definitely works better with bigger tips. I race mainly 1S, 2S and 4S systems so I have experience with only max #12 gauge wires.

4 escs and 4 motor setups exists on drones for so long, all you need is a controller to sort things up, Raz did it the hard way honestly

Great inspiration Raz. I mostly enjoy building more than driving. Building needs more skills than driving. I personally use my time like this: - 1/4 driving and 3/4 building and improving. My personal interest goes more to building than driving. Great vid by the way 😉👍

I plan on only running one of those Castle motors with a Mamba Monster X 8S and a 2 speed trans in a home built 1/6 Baja style truck in 8s...I'm hoping it's a beast but I'm still planning as parts are expensive and I can't afford to just throw money at it to see what works... I've been out of the R/C game for about 20 years....Things sure have changed!

Man that thing is sweet sounding. Looks like Christmas lights when you turn the light off and the esc’s are lighting up. $6,000 well spent even if it is a flying 🚀, but hopefully not. Damn the anticipation is killing me! Cannot wait to see it run. Also Raz where is the camera girl?? We all miss the quality of her talent, seriously pay her whatever she wants if it’s a money thing, 😜

Great work Raz, can't wait to see it run. I have a decent soldering iron here, it can get as hot as you like, but unfortunately that is no substitute for a physically larger Iron when soldering larger wires/battery plugs etc.

I wouldn't expect to use that little soldering iron on thick jobs. That thing is cool as heck to throw in your go-box. I think it's a win for sure.

I work at a hobby shop, and while there aren't many quad Mamba X Infractions coming through the door, it is interesting to watch and learn about the Mamba X and it's limitations. Who knows, maybe one day... 😂
