Not Necessarily. Oil selection is based on build tolerances to keep the bearings happy. When running E85 you should be changing the oil MUCH more frequently since ethanol will break down that oil quickly. On E85(from the pump) you should change that oil out at or before 1000 miles. The reason some will advise to go to rotella is that oil's designed for diesel applications can better withstand the corrosive properties of ethanol. Even though it may last you a little longer than your synthetics, you are putting at risk your oiling system as your bearings, oil pumps, and filters are not designed to withstand that blend of abuse.
