Great video! As a novice who struggles with not only the technique of picking locks, but also the understanding of using a variety of techniques, it is extremely helpful to see the thought process that goes into picking. You could have easily shown how to open the lock without taking the time to explain the process. For masters like yourself, it is easy to forget what it was like learning all the skills and knowledge, and simply say, "Just do it this way." But there is the why, and the how that is excellently demonstrated in this video. Thank you.

Don't know about the master thing... I feel I have SO much more to learn and develop. But I greatly appreciate the why. I try incredibly hard on this channel for it to be more educational than just demonstrations. I love locksport and hope to help others learn and grow and love it, too.

Good talk and considerations about biases. It's interesting to think about how much we fall into ruts, and what we can (should?) shake up from time to time. Thanks for the reminder!

I'm constantly having to shake up my approach to overcome my biases. There've been several locks lately that my "default" approach haven't worked with.

This is just the video I think I needed to see today. Habits are hard to break!! I also use bok tension and start from back and work to front. I've been working on an older best sfic lock for longer than i care to mention and can take it open to operating but so far picking it has eluded me. I dont have a key for it either. I'm gonna try changing up as you did and see if it helps me. Thanks a ton!
