What to eat in Nara? Mandarin Daifuku, Giant Tonkatsu, Fresh Mochi
Oh my god! What an insane food day!!! We headed over to Nara to see the deer but did not expect so much deliciousness.
1. Yamatochadaifuku Gran Cha 大和茶大福専門店
We passed this on the Higashimuki Shopping Street on the way to Nara park and was drawn in by the WHOLE mandarin daifuku.

2. Tonkatsu Ganko Nara とんかつ がんこ 奈良店
On the search for lunch, the plastic foods outside looked so yummy! After checking the fab reviews we were sold.
We opted to try their LARGEST 300g black port cutlet and it was AMAZEBALLS! They even bring out the pork before they cook it.

3. Nakatanidou Mochi 中谷堂
After seeing this place come up on every list of recommended places to visit in Nara we went to check it out after lunch.
I can't believe we arrived JUST AS the guys were arriving! If we came just 10 mins earlier and we would have missed the awesome demonstration.
This also meant no-one else was there and I got a front row seat AND I was first in the queue to buy the mochi. So happy!

4. Gokai Tachizushi Nambanakaidori 豪快 立ち寿司 難波南海通り店
Back to Osaka for dinner and I'd had this place on my list after looking for good places to have (my fav) Ikura.
Wow this place was amazing! The portions were so big and we massively over-ordered. But everything was super fresh and delicious.
The ikura was insane and those scallops have genuinely changed by life!

5. Freshly Baked Melon Pan
I was smelling freshly baked melon pans everywhere we went in Osaka and ALWAYS wanted to try one. Finally got my chance tonight!
