This would be a good opportunity for you to teach yourself heel + toe downshifting, where you use your heel to blip the throttle on downshifts while braking with your toe. Takes some practice and getting used to but once you get the hang of it, it's very satisfying. Very useful for cars with twin plate clutches and or dog boxs.

Yeah that’s something I have been trying but it obviously feels un natural at first. Will keep going with it though

That is one savage clutch for sure , we need a proper drive video when she’s bedded in , is it still at 400bhp/ map from stock clutch?

Yep when I get back home in a week or 2 will add a bit more boost to it and see how it goes 👍 just a case of tidying up bits and pieces on the car after that and it’s about done.

I am sighing in relief watching this video ... I thought I was a complete idiot in driving a twin clutched EP3 and stalling / jerking it on 1st gear! ... I also have the same reaction when coming to a traffic light or to catch a roundabout, so much so that for the time being I am only going for a ride in the late evenings when the traffic is not so heavy and stops are not that frequent ... At least mine is not a daily so don't rely completely on it .. Now I know I am not alone suffering from this!

I’ve driven it a few times in daily traffic now just to force myself to get better and more used to it. I find revving to 3000+ before setting off helps a lot. Mine is sort of a road car although I do use my Honda jazz more for work and back really 😂

@@1BlueGhost Unfortunately (if it can be used as a word) mine has a J's Racing full titanium exhaust and therefore revving it to 3k or more would sound like a fighter plane is about to take off -- I will try to follow your suggestion though and give that a try ... Been the new owner since 2 weeks only now, and came all complete and modded out (so it's my first weeks driving an ep3 AND driving a twin plate - you can imagine the stress)

Mine isn’t too loud I guess. 3” solid fabrications super silent system. Hope you’re enjoying the ep3? They are quite good fun at times!

what would you say the fuel economy is like now? is it still reasonable if just cruising on the motorway?

Yeah I wouldn’t say it’s much different unless you put your welly down really. Probably drives better as it has a bit of torque now

The issue you have with the revs.I can tell u the fix. My car when warm would idle around 900rpm and when I rev it up it would drop to maybe 500rpm then raise back to 900rpm. Took me a year to sort it lol. You need and electronic load detector an ELD for short. Costs about 45 will take 10 mins to install in to fuse box really easy job.have helped 2 out on the Facebook group. Please buy this right now btw your welcome

I will have a look. It only started doing this since it has a lighter flywheel. I can raise the revs on idle easy enough to 900 which may help it. Will go check out this load detector on google

Honestly yeah, totally pointless for a road car. Made it awkward to drive. I did get used to it slightly.
