Wish Will posted more often, even if it's just incoherent ramblings on random subjects. His videos are so great to have on in the background as I myself am working on a build. Even if it's unedited.... I wouldn't care!! I just want more of Will's content smh ;-; Cheers

Love it! When I got back into modeling a few years ago, your channel was THE anchor to show me what was possible and keep me inspired. Still is MustSeeTV!

Great job! Beautiful, brave finish too. I agree with Ronald, you are being way too hard on yourself. Way to overcome those trials and tribulations to end up with a beautiful LITTLE model. I hope you won Moosaroo. As you say, it's a pretty amazing kit, but not without some problems. I did the "My Pal Snookie" version and getting those underwing bombs onto the racks was a "big" :-) pain. Congrats again...your videos helped me while getting back into the hobby after fifty years.

Realizing that things look different in person and on a screen, from what I'm seeing that kit looks great! Impressed by the entire 1/72 Arma line of kits. Wouldn't mind if they expanded into 2-engine and 4-engine bombers.

Thanks for taking the hit on 1/72 so we don't have to. Always a pleasure to watch you, yer right, you nailed the wing root chipping at the scale. And the figure was pretty sweet.

Great post. Recognizing the self criticism having just finalized a 1/48 tedious F-4B project. My supporters at home only see the bigger picture which does not show any of the self inflicted damage. That's part of our hobby: some things we make seen, others we cover up by sanding, rescribing, unglueing, the lot ;-) I believe your result on this Mustang is great. Especially given the fact it is 1/72. The added story makes it even better! We model, we screw and cover up, learn and move on. Curious on you next 1/32 build.

My gosh Will you really are hard on yourself. If I could come close to achieving this level of competence in my model making, I’d be throwing a party. 😀 Love the chipping, layering, scuffing and colour modulation on your Mustang. I also think that you having to sand and fix the screwup over the decal film made the overall weathering effects even better. I’m now inspired to become a serial paint abuser too. 😝👍🏻

The Arma P-51B isn't a perfect kit, but it does offer, at long last, an out-of-the-box 1/72 P-51B/C option that isn't egregiously fucked up. Your Mustang turned out great, Will. Tasteful display gets a thumbs up, too. If you're not a dedicated 1/72 modeler it may come as a surprise to learn that until 2022ish there hasn't been a properly shaped and detailed kit of this iconic aircraft despite the many offerings on the market. The best I could do was a Hasegawa fuselage mated to Academy wings; even then I had to do surgery to lower the flaps and the wheel wells are still just wrong. From the dawn of the injection molded model kit industry until Twenty-frickin'-Twenty-Two, no single 1/72 kit of this iconic aircraft got it right enough to be satisfying in itself. Even the recent KP kit was AFU if one looked at it closely. Arma made an obvious business decision and has been rewarded for it. I've bought three of 'em and an F6C for good measure, couldn't give them my money fast enough.

Amazing work at such a small scale!👍 There's more detail on this one than most of the 1/32 models I've seen! The rear end of the sliding canopy looks like there was no metal rim, or very thin, on these planes? (I was focusing on the tiny rollers!...)

Thank you. And you are correct. The malcolm hood was just a single piece of blown Lexan with no frame. It just had rails bolted to the bottom edges.

Outstanding work, nothing short of amazing for the scale. I don't know why I like "your" heavy weathering so much, when often other people's heavy weathering just annoys me... Yours just does not look like a repetitive "formula" applied the same all over. Concerning gear angles, I think gear angles should not be too rigid in fore and aft "rake", because you want to adjust the rake to match two completely different things: References, photos, drawings or instruction, AND each other... In splay however, you want a more rigid built-in splay angle, because eyeballing symmetry in splay is a lot tougher. I have found sometimes that manufacturer who attempt to make the gear rigid end up making adjustments harder, as the whole gear bends or springs back at its weak points, instead of pivoting neatly as one straight piece. The other extreme are the Eduard 1/48 new tool FW-190As, which are really just a loose mess, made worse by the FW-190A gear being a special case for angles.

I don't think it's obvious from watching this video that it's a 1:72 kit and not a 1:48, and I think that is testament to your painting skills. Yeah, I'm sure that in real life there are things that stand out more, but certainly from an 'on screen' point of view, it's only when you see how thick the cockpit sides are that the scale becomes somewhat noticeable.
