This would be on the cover of fine scale modeler back in 2003. Lots has changed in the armor world. The heads now want light weathering with very smoothly highlighted base colors. Was still a fun chapter, and it was nice for me a figure/armor guy to watch you venture into our realm! Happy projects brother!

Thanks Will. your videos all get an A in honesty. I was told your one helluva an air plane guy from a good source. I did the same model as this in 1/35th scale. I am a armor modeler and often get bored doing American WW 2 armor. Just hard to get excited doing a Sherman tank. I get it. Loved your older vids on decals. They were awesome ! Thanks, John

Congrats on finishing your "Easy Eight". Great finished product and great music!, I love it. Any thoughts on doing a 35th scale armour project?

glad to see another #DamnyouLentz build hurtle across the finish line! Solid work Will, especially considering the limitations of 1/48

Complete project! Congratulations. It took me about a year to do my old George Washington submarine. Lots of work! I liked and subscribed:)

Came out well, I think. I found that doing different subject types taught me different modelling skills. Made me consider different approaches to how I build planes etc, It can't hurt to try other subjects, although I do think being interested in what you're making is important -it is for me.

Brother Will, I think it turned out well considering your green to armor models. I look at attempting new subject matter as a place to experiment and play. It’s how all artist end up mastering their crafts. I hope you try a 1/35 scale next. I’m doing a ww1 plane and I guarantee you would feel better about your model if you witness how that’s going! Thanks for sharing your experiences and techniques!👍🏾

The Sherman looks great! You captured a realistic looking portrayal for your first attempt. You definitely need to do an armor kit in 1/35. There's so much more (armor/soft skinned vehicles) to choose from. I believe that with the right subject matter and camouflage pattern (tri-color or winter etc.) you will have more enthusiasm to complete it. I grew up building 1/35 and 1/72 scale armor kits and a couple 1/16. I don't recall ever doing a 1/48, so to me it seems an odd scale for armor. I understand the market for it though. 1/35 is definitely the way to go. You will have a much more satisfying experience with the subject matter.

Hi will I think it turned out well and with far more scale finess than ootb . Many afv modellers paint lighter initially , knowing the weathering desaturates and darkens in the end . Good for winter 44 vibe though . M

Whats with the M81 Woodland pattern on the side? Is there a reference for this?

When you ask for a reference, is it because you want to see more of it in photos, or you need proof of it's existence to validate it being on a model?

Nice Sherman and ur save on the tracks worked well. The colour on the steel girders looks rather modern . Maybe some oil or wd 40 on your chair ?

Are there any AMPS shows in range of you? It would be cool to see how you do with it at one of their shows in their form of the open system.

A Gundam would have been a lot easier and way more fun than that tank.

@@Shart_Farley89 I kind of felt something was a bit off about him, them out of the blue I saw him making a public apology to Panzermeister36. Which perhaps he only did because what he said got out. That doesn't take away from his ability as a model builder, but I found it disappointing.
