As you say Andy, half is good on "speed limit" and half is good on "current speed". What's missing on "current speed" is RESUME, like what you get in all other cars... Anyway I'm using "current speed" for now as it's easier to dial up or throttle up. Also you can enter +/- % values in "speed limit" made and it will work in "current speed" mode...

That's a good suggestion. I never thought about this but you're right, other cars have this function. So the offset will carry over to 'current speed' but cannot be changed in this mode, right?

@@unpluggedEV Yes, the offset will be carried over...

For local driving here, there are several lengthy work zones with reduced speed limits (with too few or missing speed limit signs for the camera to pick up) as well as several areas where the posted limit is lower than the map data (and where the camera misses the sign or there are so few signs that the displayed speed limit number automatically reverts back to the incorrect map data. For these cases, I found it difficult to dial back the scroll wheel (or tap the current speed display) quickly enough to keep the speed of the car from surging. Using CURRENT SPEED solved that. For long interstate road trips (if ever), I might use the other option if the signs and road all match up properly.

Oh, Hope the speed setting is super secure and a true max and min.

I selected Current Speed and am very happy that entering a motorway doesn’t mean I have to furiously wind back the speed anymore .......EXCEPT one place I’ve found where the road ends on the Murchison - Melbourne freeway ......then it takes off to the limit rather than my preferred 80-90. Very strange. I tried Spotify also and was surprised to find I could get and play a Paul Desmond album even though it asks for an account sign-in. What is the actual situation.

So, fx. in a 100 km/h zone you can't drive 105 km/h on 'current speed' setting - only slower than speed limit? 🤔 Nice videos btw 👌🏽

Thanks 🙂 It's the same for both settings actually. You cannot drive faster than the speed limit in AP on local roads. You can overwrite this on most highways though. The offset in the settings menu is only available in 'Speed Limit' mode. It's complicated...

Not a fan of themcurrent speed option. I use the offset combined with speed limit at -2mph and that is a good balance for me. Current speed may be useful on occaision but not sifficiently often enough to worry about it as an option. Also switching between the two whilst driving is not a good idea so tapping the speedo is a much beeter option.
