I will never NOT appreciate your thoughtful and detailed approaches. I don't know many folks that can teach so much after getting an easy open off the bat!

Thank you very much for this entry! I really appreciate it! I really enjoyed you explination on how you choose to tension at first. I too generally use bok first myself, then try tok. Finding the best fit when using tok is very important as well, great addition! Really like the explanation of how you choose your pick. I also like to lever off the tensioner when usin bok tension or the bottom when using tok. Its hard me me to lever off angled warding sometimes. I need to work more on my precise control. I have so much trouble freehanding but am trying now since trying to pick pins down. I find in this series of lock my shaft generally sets 1 or 2 pins and switching to tok is what ive done so i have to pick every pin. At first i thought they were 0 lift pins. I start with light tension and move up as well. Thats an interesting method of using the key to find the tension. Sorry for the long comment, I was typing while watching lol. Thanks again PPL for the kind words and this entry! Video entry noted and added to the playlist!

Could I ask what your approach is to practice, I've seen a couple of prominent KZitemrs explaining their routine etc just wondering how you go about it. Thank you for your well presented content

Hi, thank you! Yes! I'm absolutely happy to share how I practice. For the most part, I do a lot of fidget picking. I'm a very fidgety type of person, so as I watch TV, I'll often have a few locks next to me and I'll fidget with them. I don't always focus on the getting them open; I'll often be focused on how they feel. I'll try to imagine the pick moving in the lock, manipulating the pins, how the pins react, what kind of pins they are based on the feel and feedback. Is like watching a 3D movie in my head. I rarely look at the lock while fidget picking. With a security pin that's new to me, I'll progressive pin a core. I'll pin the lock with a standard pin in position one and the security pin that I'm learning in position two. I'll then play with the lock, fidget pick, and experiment with different tensions, different picks (although I almost always come back to the pagoda hook). When you're working with new security pins, I can't stress the importance of progressive pinning enough. The most important tip, though, is to get used to seeing the lock inside your head, rather than looking at it with your eyes.

A great shout out and a great entry mate. Adam is a rising star for sure. May I politely say I think it's unfair to slate Masterlock as they did do some good locks, for example the master 19 and the loto locks have that awful (fun) keyway, which actually have me prefer an abus by keyway Access comparison. Nothing and no one is all bad 😂. I invite your thoughts on this 😊Best of luck in the draw buddy and have a great week mate 🍀👌🫶🤜🤛😁

Hey Nick, thank you for the comment And yeah... I should give Master Lock some slack. You've called out two models that are actually decently solid locks. I'd add the 570 to that list as well. It's also worth noting that they own American Lock, so there's that as well. More than any real hate, it's me having a little fun with the stereotype. And Adam is well deserving and well on his way!

@@pugspickslocks I shall seek out the 570, , thank you for that my friend. This is what I love, I didn't know of this, but coming from you I'll happily have a look. Thanks for that, appreciated muchly 🙏🤜🤛

I'd put the 570 about on par with the 410 LOTO... mebbe a little lower since it's a five pin lock, not six.

@pugspickslocks Very cool! I think I might have one still in the package, I somehow forgot about a couple of locks I got a while back! Wow, that's a first lol!!
