The ever notorious durian stalls at SS2. RM80-90+ per kilo Musang King is way too overpriced for an A grade shape fruit with a lousy quality. And im sorry, but that was definitely Musang King imported from Thailand just by looking at clean green husk, cut stalks and unripe pulps. I wasnt surprised when the 1st 2 fruits opened were rejected as those Thai MKs were cut off the tree and hadnt fully ripen yet. Because of very low supplies of local Musang King in the past few months, sellers had to resort to selling Thai MK in order to cater the high demands of local consumers. Only now we have enough supplies of local Musang King mainly from Johor, Perak, Kedah and Penang and few from Pahang. My advice is to always ask sellers first where do they get their durian supplies from, learn several tips on how good durian should look like and be alert on when local season will actually start.
