I'm so grateful for a food channel to finally highlight Caribbean communities - Latine food is more than just Mexican food
@MrEiht
Жыл бұрын
For a normal person "Latin" America has nothing to do with the Caribbean. One is south america and stuff, the other are some islands and sea and so on. Two different things. So please don`t expect Caribbean food to be represented when looking at "Latin" content.
@colormelilac
Жыл бұрын
When did Caribbean food equate to Latin food? 😂
@MrEiht
Жыл бұрын
@@colormelilac it is so amusing since these cultures are so different. For someone from Europe at least, these are two totally different cultures. Sure the Caribbeans were influenced by the Spaniards too...but the whole globe was back then.

@LaMariposaSedosa

@colormelilac This is such a weird comment. 'Latin" is a geopolitical term. It just signifies geographical area. Part of the Caribbean is considered Latin America and was Latin America before the rest of Latin America. Also, there are lots of similar foods, or even the same, because of similar influences. There is African influence on Latin American food as well as Caribbean influence. If you know anything about different countries, history, or their foods you wouldnt have said that. The hibiscus drink is one example. That's very popular in Mexico too, the flavors might be a little different.
