Best eclipse video I have ever seen and fantastic dramatic ending!!! 😍 You really had me in with those bright white eyes in the dark. Stop teasing haha 😂 I noticed from your wing cam that the back part of your wing is very loose. Better get that fixed, before it falls of.

Howdy Jason, down in Georgetown Texas (actually at my house on a private airport (07TS), I noticed it wasn't at bright at 12-2pm as it was later around 4-5pm (really brighter later in the day then with the Sun directly over head. Also, the temps were pleasent until later in the day, and I realized that the daytime heating was delayed by 3 hours

Your observation about the wind is very interesting. I was coordinating a data gathering mission for my CAP squadron and NASA asked us to measure wind and temperature during the eclipse. We experienced no change in wind(we are at sea level) but a noticeable change in air temp. Our other data point was VHF FM radio. Did you notice any impact to radio transmissions (even though airband is AM)? Any crackles, distortion, whistles, poor reception, pops?

Not to be that guy in the comments, but I really struggle to understand your radio calls. They're blistering fast. And I've got >300 hrs and IR. Isn't the goal for people on the other end to actually understand you? And I LOVE the thundering music! Best part of that video. Keep 'em coming! Just for fun, I slowed down your last radio call to hear it completely. I got: "NorthwesttrafficCommance30Pisentering45degreedownwind435fullstopNorthwest". That still doesn't tell me if you're on the 45, on the downwind, left or right traffic? All I get from that at full speed is there is a Comanche approaching the pattern that I'd have to look out for. (and I know the runway is not 435, but 'for 35' sounds like 435 especially at that speed.)

So I wasn't supposed to stare at the sun!? A few years back during the total eclipse, KPCD just happened to be over the exact spot of the longest eclipse, It legit turned to night for two minutes. All the lights came on, hmm now I wonder if the RWY lights came on? Didn't notice, we were on the ground with a few hundred other planes that flew in for the event.

@@alanmcnamara9155 a time sink is a time sucker, time waster, something that has an unlimited potential to consume time. Think of a theoretically perfect heat sink from thermodynamics but applied to time. It wasn't inteded as a direct insult at you, more as a (ironic or sarcastic) description of the video as having wasted your time and continuing to do so. Plenty of commentors on "Y"rian's videos don't "get it". I just confused you for one of those troglodytes. Sorry about that.
