the first few minutes had a real "found footage" vibe 🤣 a lovely video anyways, been to Elveden a view times and really like it there, no stay at Center Parcs would be complete without a squirrel and half a dozen ducks in your lodge every morning !

Really enjoyed the blog and had a few laughs too. Thanks for sharing your visit with us .. and may I say it was lovely to see the two of you together in a video again. It's been a while, if memory serves the last one I remember featured the two of you going on a wooded walk. Great video 👍

We've just come back from Elveden today, miss it already, was busy to, but worked out exams finished recently hence the extra people on the park. Think Longleat is our favourite park. Always love the way Center Parcs is good because all the people on the park and it's still a peaceful place to go.

We, in Texas, have the Frio River. My family is there now, I had to stay back to play weekend musical gigs. Oh...so I am assuming it wasn't a pinecone?

Great vlog Jake, Glad you got some good weather too. For a moment I thought your story about the young child with the spilt cheerios was going to end with 'and 30 years later that child is now me' , ha!

Thanks for the video. Are all the activities (swimming pool, sliding down on a high rope etc) part of the package for staying at Center Parcs, or do they charge extra for these? Also perhaps a silly question, where do you buy food for the cooking? Are there shops in Center Parcs which sell food for you to cook, or do you have to go outside to the local Tescos or Sainsburys to get them? Also how many days is enough to stay at Center Parcs? Thanks 🙏

No. your booking just gets you the lodge, and everything else is extra.....some activities are expensive, for the amount of time alloted, some aren't (in my opinion)..... everything has to be booked online in advance - and its all paid by card - there's no cash used anywhere onsite. There is a small convenience store on site (briefly shown in the video), a bit like a Spar or local Co-op shop, which has essentials & kids treats etc, but obviously less choice than a supermarket. Elveden Forest is a 10 minute drive from Thetford town which has all the usual shops & takeaways. I think Centre Parks have 2 booking choices - Mon-Fri 4 nights or Fri-Mon 3 nights......only you can decide whether 4 or 5 days is enough for you.....there's certainly enough activities to keep you busy for 5 days, if you're willing to pay for them all. I stayed at this site in March (just a few doors down from Jake) and the whole place was rammed...completely sold out, so way more people than shown here. I was impressed with the quality of the lodge, cleanliness of the whole site, and friendliness of staff......my only complaint was that the water activities were not available at that time of year, and some other activities were fully booked.

Lovely video. I love centre parcs. It’s so expensive in school holidays but managed to go to the one just north of London last year. I think it’s called Woburn. Just a thought about your diabetes joke at 27:00. Many children live with Type 1 diabetes, which is a lifelong condition cause by an autoimmune reaction and nothing to do with lifestyle. The general population have an understanding of diabetes that only applies to Type 2 but most don’t even know there are two types. Jokes like these further perpetuate that general misconception of diabetes being lifestyle caused and it’s just so rubbish for kids out there living with Type 1. I know I may sound like the woke brigade or someone who is too easily offended but o really think the joke isn’t funny enough to justify further spreading the misconception that causes so much misunderstanding
