The song, her design, her voice, the stage, this game itself. It’s so perfect.

@Kazuma Yoshikaze / 義風一真 That's what's so great about it! Same goes with Evil Amakusa's voice from Samurai Shodown 4 lol!

Amakusa, Mizuki, Hell Gaoh... Samurai Shodown has the most insane bosses. I feel like, above all others, Samurai Shodown is the pinnacle of controller-smashing madness. This game is just... ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. It rests on my shelf, collecting dust, because I dread the thought of even touching it. Samurai Shodown terrifies me to my core. That aside, it is a damn aesthetically pleasing game. Nicely done with this epic boss battle. Mizuki is a tricky witch, especially when she turns you into a pig!

I think SS2 and SS4 were the best. SS2 because it was the first time we see Mizuki and the story made a little more sense even with all the Engrish. And SS4 was pretty good because they finally balanced out some of the damage and speed, but they made Amakusa so freaking slow and Zankuro so grossly overpowered.

Mizuki smiling and laughing while fighting shows how much insignificance the ongoing battle is to a demigod like itself.

SS2 was the best of the series. And Mizuki scared the shite outta and also frustrated the hell outta me with her weird hit box on attacks.

Try fighting against her on level 8 difficulty. She is very difficult and strong.

In those days SNK is known to be unfair with their fighting game bosses, in this case their AI is programmed to counter jump ins, hence you'll notice why she keeps using that control reversing projectile when you try to jump towards her. Never jump for no reason, don't give her the excuse to use those moves. Also, while it's tempting to use heavy slash to do as much damage as possible, her AI has been given a much shorter recovery time after guarding, meaning she can attack almost immediately after guarding a heavy slash. Characters like Haoumaru, Jubei, Kyoshiro, etc all have a thrust medium attack that has range and fairly quick execution, just bide your time and poke away

I kind of hate what did to her in SS5, nerfed her quite. But i guess that's the trade off for being able to use her but come on.

Yeah, I totally agree. She is second-favorite character after Amakusa in this series, but in SS5SP, she is somewhat weaker and quite a bit slower. She can, however, still be a very effective fighter.

How I do miss the days when games forced you to learn the game at a professional level. Modern, fan-forced updates to make a game easier just ruin original game designs/ mechanics.
