Interesting factoid: Joakim Broden has no vocal training and never intended to be a singer. When Sabaton formed he was the keyboard player and had written a few songs which the band asked him to sing to get an idea of the melodies. The band did not have a lead singer and asked him to fill in until they could find one. As Joakim puts it, "They never did...lazy bastards."

This was a fantastic winner for the Metal Theme. You're right. The compass is significant, but I haven't found reliable sources as to why. Fairly reasonable to assume the compass taken from the Bismark captain is the one the tugboat skipper has. Some folks point out the numbers scratched onto it match fairly well the coordinates where the ship sank. Others believe the skipper is a descendant of the rescued German sailor: son or grandson.

The allied did not sink the Bismarck, they made video like this because of the game. 1 torpedo hit the rudder, preventing the ship from steering and could only go in circles, but in the wreck they found all torpedo walls, none had taken any damage at all and the only penetrations of the hull(two) was way above the water line where it have very thin armor and almost no slope. Fun fact the Bismarck was not sank by the allies. The crew actually scuttled the ship. Marine archeoligists studied the vessel in detail. The armoured hull was not penetrated, and the vessel would have been sea worthy had the crew not sank the ship to prevent it falling into enemy hands. The rudder was damaged by the allies during the air attacks on the ship which caused it to be unable to properly steer. Which led to the final confrontation of the entire allied atlantic fleet versus the lone bismarck. It went down swinging and its fighting spirit and last stand was praised by brittish admiralty. It sank the Hood and in the final stand critically damaged several other vessels.

Calling the Bismarck a "Big Old Battleship" is somewhat under stating its importance. It was a floating weapons battery, that if it got into the Atlantic would have massively crippled Allied supplies and troops. There's a reason the Allies ran a couple of their ships ragged and counted themselves lucky they got a strategic torpedo hit, cause if the Bismarck (And his sister ships) got to the Atlantic, the allied war effort would have been majorly crippled

Sabaton me fez gostar mais de metal, dificil achar uma música deles que não gosto, ainda bem que eles escreveram uma música sobre a participação do Brasil na segunda guerra, por isso vim a descobrir essa banda que hoje sou fã.... Sabaton made me like metal more, it's hard to find a song of theirs that I don't like, thank goodness they wrote a song about Brazil's participation in the Second World War, that's why I discovered this band that I'm a fan of today...
