That Fully Flared part is epic. It’s just perfection. I can watch it days in a row. Cool to watch this to understand the sacrifice.

this is single handedly the rawest interview on the internet(technically VICE) for a skater. If anyone can possibly dislike this raw honesty I would save up money and fuck them up . MJ is fucking great/real.

Real down to earth dude. Great addition to the skateboarding community and just regular community itself. Serious dedication for sure. Watched this epicly later'd like three or four times now just to hear him tell his story.

Bro his part changed my outlook on skating,I didn’t know some of these tricks were possible at the time, and not just that, just the feeling I got when he interacted with Ty you could just tell he was real and out his heart into it, it wasn’t just a video part for him, i remember waiting for this video for soooo long, and then finally, mind blown by him and Mike Mo

Hearing Marc talk about his personal struggles I cant help but think of him as a construction worker or at a fast paced distribution warehouse, waking up at 3 or 4am, sweating all day, barely making it through the day based off of foot pain from steel toe boots, let alone all the other physical and mental pains that go along with true hard work. Makes you realize its all perspective. Those Construction workers would probably feel privileged when being compared to workers at foxconn factories. Its hard not to scoff at someone bitching about doing something they love and traveling the world with their bro's, cant help but scratch your head at that, yet you also cant put yourself in their shoes/skin. Depression is a strange beast.

Imagine going through all that filming and missing your kid's birthdays and taxes just to have your part paired with Buffalo Bill's song from Silence of the Lambs.

It's sad to know how much time, love, and effort goes into parts like his one in Fully Flared and shit heads like us just turn around and watch it for free on here without a second thought. It's no wonder why there's no respect for anything anymore. For me at school it was literally doing jobs for people to build up enough cash so I could get a new board, shoes, clothes, magazines or the odd video, so when I got something I fucking loved it. Too many spoilt brats around these days...

It seems like MJ suffers from depression. You can see the struggle in him in each of these 4 parts, he doesn't seem comfortable to be in his own skin. They film so many times when he brings up a hypothetical opinion in this really whiny and mocking way just to get pissed off by it. There's a lot of anger, I hope he gets to the root of it and is able to find happiness. He does have a great job but something is preventing him from enjoying it.

i think your completely not getting what i said. the company puts out a video to get people to buy theyre products. so if it's free then you're exposing it to a bigger market hopefully generating more customers. especially for something like skating where a lot of the kids into it don't have the income or a local shop. also, isn't it kind of ironic that this epicly later'd episode on youtube isn't posted by vbs or patrick o'dell and people are preaching about ethics.

saying that watching fully flared for free on youtube is somehow disrespectful is kind of naive. it's not like music where an artist's main income comes from record sales. these dudes can't possibly make anything off the videos. it's promotional so if you want to support marc johnson grab his shoe, matix clothes, deck, whatever.

I respect Marc's skills, but the dude is so negative , I sometimes don't think he realises what he has , it's hard sitting here listen to a guy whining about a pro skate career like his so hard , try working fourteen hour days in a kitchen .
