Thank you for the videos and Abdullah Gondal for months of hard work. I just want to point out that the historical reliability of Sira and Hadith is questionable and it is possible that Mohammed is a fictional character, created out of legends and the necessity to bring some sense to the Quran. In the 8th and 9th centuries Hadith became an Industry, based on the "Biography of Mohammed" by Ibn Ishāq, but this book is lost so we have overhauled Versions by other scholars which are even for modern islamic Scholars are not a solid source.
@stopscammingman

@@slippingsnake I don't think the idea of Muhammad being made up is the least bit credible. For one thing, it would be beyond strange to invent a founding father this horrendously compromised. When his first access to revelation come with an angel attacking him for being illiterate and he responds by trying to kill himself (despite the religion saying those that kill themselves will be damned), it doesn't look at all like an attempt to make sense of the religion, but a rather fessing up of the religion's dubious origins. Also, a lot of the hadiths are written in a more archaic form of Arabic than was contemporary to al Bukhari for instance.
@stopscammingman
2 жыл бұрын
On the subject of Muhammad's first wife being 40 when they married. That doesn't seem very plausible given they had 6 kids. There are also hadiths putting her age at 28. Yasir Qadhi has actually said this is more plausible.
@slippingsnake
2 жыл бұрын
@@stopscammingman I think even Muslims agree that Hadiths were fabricated and the problem was to find out wich are true; Al Bukhari threw out 98% of his collection, Muslims claim because many of them were double, but most of them he didn't trust. Ishnad (chain of Narration) can sink the whole ship if they proof something that could not have happened (i.e. moonsplitting). They didn't start with nothing but had to explain the Quran; what spoils it for me is that that Biography by Ibn Ishaq comes first and later an avalanche, a massive ammount of specific Reports that often go into detail. Beyond the scriptures there is other evidence of the time that doesn't match the story, i.e. coins and buildings. However, I said it is possible(!) that Mo is a fictional character, there might be a true person behind the legends.

Even if you don't want to believe Mohammed was epileptic or ill or what have you, these things he's going through supposedly to receive divine revelations are *not* signs of a benevolent deity. What kind of mean and sadistic deity inflicts such horrors upon a person?! It's malevolent when you're an all-powerful deity and out of all possibilities you choose this way to convey your message to humanity.

Perhaps it might be a nice idea to do a monthly show where folks call in with questions. Just put a time limit and a question limit on the callers so that one caller doesn’t dominate the show. But you should do it together because then the opinion is a bit balanced from different perspectives. It would be good to get a moderate Muslim to also participate in the call in. Some who isn’t insane like Daniel H. He is nuts .

Serious question...Mo somehow was the only one who got *squeezed like Ketchup by the angel and got such kind of seizures **1:18:14** everytime he got a revelation!* WHY? Why was he, the best human of all time and AIIah's beloved one, the only one who had to go through all this suffering for getting revelations? It makes zero sense if musIims try to argue, that this was AIIah's way to send his sms to Mo!

Actually it makes perfect sense since many of abrahamic chosen people have suffered in some way, Jesus would be the most obvious example. Islam continues with the same ridiculous plot. Of course, as a christian you don't want to see that. Go read that bible.
@slippingsnake

The "presence/ vision" of an Angel is so overwhelming that it causes these effects :) Personaly I don't have any experience with that, but Paul's Damascus Experience sounds similar and had him blinded for a time (disclaimer: Paul does not appear in Islam). On the other hand when the Quran [66:12] tells about the Spirit of Allah visiting Mary she seems confused but not hurt (?) Theory: Gabriel is a little bit rough on his job, maybe he has a tight schedule, while the Spirit is more sensetive.

As a 6 momth revert this is ...welp. Cant deny it . Its sad that it takes religion to make people care , i lost my father this year and i eventually found Islam and everyone was very accepting and beyond generous , its crazy how tradgedy and religion go hand in hand . Unlike your joy i find it sad in a sense, some people need religion i belive and others dont and its not about intellegence , its about fear of death and this i think should be left to the person . However religion should have no say in polatics or anything , it should be for people to quietly use . It helps many people who experienced trauma and have snapped to keep them "sane" , some people do not need this ...like after a war some have ptsd and need meds to help others are ok or able to manage , this applies to life imo some need religion some are ok without, the problem is that to practice these religions you need to push away your comon sense and thats not healthy ...so i dont know ...should we expose falsehoods yes but i honestly do belive the human condition and the ego needs it to help with this fear of death the finality of it and its unavoidable i think ruins more peoples phsyche then admitt it .I also belive most religious people know this is untrue but convince themeslves to cope and if thats the case then its almost crule to take that away. We need something higher to belive in especially as we get older and closer to death , it shouldent take over your life or stop you from living in real life tho, if it eases my mind i will practice privatly and very peronally and not be apart of any group i just pray to god whatever its name wants to be called and i find it helps , then after ill live in the secular world without anyone ever knowing because its not needed its very private... there... if people could just do that then no issues to anyone or myself .

Praying 5 times made me feel crazy, overwhelmed, and mentally exhausted and my OCD went crazy. Until just last month when I decided to take shrooms to heal my childhood trauma. What I went through was an experience with the feeling that Muhammad must have gone through something like this for sure. And now i am watching this.
