Question: have your played the series with the art on the back? If yes, are the necks the same on both models? I am waiting for my non-art model to arrive. Ordered one after playing one with the artwork but i really didn't like the art on the back. Loved the neck on it though.

@@Alej_915 I haven’t tried any of the art models. The art honestly didn’t grab my attention like a complete Silverburst so I didn’t consider buying one. I don’t think my local guitar center has any of them whenever I’d be over there anyway

@@GarthNGuitars appreciate the reply. Yeah the art is not my cuppa tea, but hot damn did that guitar sing in my hands. My 1979 should be here Wednesday, very excited. Keep up the good work man!

@@GarthNGuitars i agree, it is pricey, but for me it's absolutely worth every penny. The only other LPs I've enjoyed playing are $3,000 + all of them being Gibson. I connected with this model, at the end of my life i don't ill give a hoot about how much i spent on something that brings me this much joy

I own a vintage silverburst with the AJ specs (DDJ in the bridge and flipped neck pup) and I've played an Epiphone AJ Les Paul custom. The Epi is so damn good and highly recommend them and even to those non-AJ fans.

@@zigzagrz absolutely! What I like is there’s just an art piece on the back of the headstock instead of a signature. I love playing that guitar, but I wish it weren’t $1,500USD

For $300 more you're getting a Gibson Custombucker, mother of pearl inlays on the fretboard and the open book headstock over the artwork model. I'd say it's a fair price for those additional items, but to each his own. I bought one and couldn't be any happier with it. It's my first Epiphone and it plays as well as some of my more expensive guitars. Your jam was cool btw. Peace. By

@@darineller6768 my issue with the price comes from the fact that Dave’s Epiphone sig is $1,300, and you can get an IGC Les Paul Custom for $1,300. I love the guitar and the specs it’s just the price that shocked me and unfortunately some folks won’t be able to afford it. It’s my second Epiphone (also have the MKH Les Paul Custom Origin) and I couldn’t be happier with the sound and feel. Appreciate the feedback!

@@GarthNGuitars Why would you still purchase it if the price shocked you? The artwork models were $1300, so with the additional upgrades it would make sense that the price would increase. Especially with the cost of almost everything increasing nowadays.

@@darineller6768 I wasn’t a fan of the artwork and I told myself this is the best option for this style of Les Paul cuz I’ll never be able to afford a real Norlin Era
