Ok Guys...Here goes..! I just received my Epi Alex Lifeson LP, and here is what I've discovered so far. Built in the Qingdao Plant, January of 2021. Mahogany body and neck, carved maple cap with a AAA Flame veneer. The finish is called Viceroy Brown...and the color is just a little bit deeper and darker than what is shown. My guitar comes in at 9.4 lbs...and feels solid. Balance is good. Neck is a cross between classic 50's D and a slim taper D. It's not chunky...but enough to get a good feel in your hands. Indian Laurel fret board...with a slightly shorter scale length of 24.7" vs. the standard 24.75 due to the Graphtech. Probucker Ceramic in the neck, Probucker 3 at the bridge....piezo in the bridge that is controlled by a push/ pull knob that is usually the tone knob for the bridge...making the neck tone knob the master tone. Both humbuckers are push/ pull coil tapped...with the piezo activated by it's own push pull. Dual outputs...one for mono output where you can blend the amount of piezo with the humbuckers, and a second output which allows you to split the piezo into it's own signal path and amp. The guitar that I've been playing the most up until it arrived today...has been the 2021 Epi 59" LP...these are different guitars. The Alex Lp is a bit heavier, but the 59" has a bit more feel in your hands. The 59' runs with Gibson Burstbucker 2 & 3 without coil taping. Sonically...they are different, with perhaps the 59" being more of the classic Gibson LP sound. The Lifeson...is a guitar platform all of it's own. Extremely wide variations in tones that I have just begun to tap into to. The Graphtech is stable...and seems to avoid the classic suck of tones that effect alot of Floyds. I'm going thru the paces...so no dive bombs...however an excellent vibrato that stays in tune as this is not a cheaply made. The pickups are lively without being tinny, and with the addition of the piezo to the humbucker's...another dimension of tone depth is achieved. All in all so far... The Alex Lifeson...is something that will allow you, and perhaps even inspire you... To Expand and Explore

I just bought a PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo two weeks ago, and I LOVE it! I just saw this, and pulled the trigger becasue it looks to be a very nicely appointed guitar and I am a HUGE RUSH fan, so part of this decision was based on a "collectors vibe". Still, it seems to me that Epiphone in the last year or two is trying to go head to head with the PRS SE range, by offering a LOT of guitar in the mid-range price point. Can't wait to give it a try!

That liscensed bridge is like a bumper on a ferari. will a floyd rose original fit into the bridge route? *edit* I looked it up that bridge has an acoustic pickup which is pretty cool, i thought it was going to be a cheap bridge like the Ibanez edge ones, very cool looking guitar.

The neck profile is definitely different but not “out of this world different”. Doesn’t feel particularly thin or overwhelmingly thick. The weight seems to fall in line with other Epi Les Pauls. Not much different. Thanks for watching!
