Thank you. It is. I highly recommend it if you have the Sweetwater card and can swing the payments.

Nice. Can you negotiate prices with Sweetwater?

You can always ask for their best price. Better chance is looking for the demo versions on their site.

Yes you can. My SE at Sweetwater has always given me discounts since my first purchase in 2013.

Congrats on your new guitar. I have the Ebony version. I love it except for its VOS finish. It looks dull. Save for the neck, I will polish and buff it to a high gloss.

My preference is gloss too. Not big on satin-y finishes myself.

@@danthedem I took my Ebony IGC 1959 ES-355 to a luthier for a setup. He adjusted the truss rod and glued down the frets. He is very impressed with the quality of my guitar. For $5700 less, I got a Gibson!

@@mr3klaxbasically. Setup is to taste. Out of the box, it worked for me. But mine came from Sweetwater and they tend to do a good job with checkup/setup before sending on to the customer.

Do you think it is any better sounding than the standard Epiphone 335 gibson inspired...?... In many of the comparison reviews it is difficult to tell the difference between the standard epi 335 and the Gibson 335... I understand that this new one is very well loaded..

Way better sounding. The Alnico classic pickups are so bland. On my other Epiphone (the 335), I put Burstbucker pups in it. This one comes with Custombucker pups in it, has an ebony board, etc. So I’d suggest it over the normal Epi. To be clear if you just need a 335 and can’t afford the Gibson, an Epiphone is fine. But if you’re a bit more discerning these upgraded Epiphones are better. I’d recommend these.
