As for the Noel Gallagher signature what a awesome tribute to iconic time in music wherebrit pop was king. @madelianides
2 жыл бұрын
I would, but the Epiphone Riviera has things that this one doesn’t have. Besides the headstock and the pickguard and what appears to be a slightly thinner body than a 335, it looks just like a Gibson ES-335. I know that it is modeled after what Noel Gallagher wanted on a Riviera, but it doesn’t seem like a Riviera after the change in tailpiece and pickups.
@ia5662
2 жыл бұрын
It's not the same Riviera - the one Noel had was a very specific kind of hybrid which was made in Japan in the late 70s, early 80s. This is absolutely more of a 335, it doesn't have that crazy long tailpiece or mini humbuckers, but everything else is Riviera. My guess is that Noel saw this as a young lad and said oh wow I can get this for whatever $200 quid and not have to pay thousands for a real Gibson 335 "close enough, here's my money good man" kind of a thing. I hope that helps you get what this Epi is now - it's a direct copy of that Japanese 80s model from Epiphone.
@madelianides
2 жыл бұрын
@@ia5662 I understand that it is not the same Riviera. But the Epiphone Riviera and the first Sheraton model both had the frequensator tailpiece. What is the difference between this model of the Riviera and the Sheraton in terms of the hardware and pickups? The other Riviera's on the market have the Frequensator tail piece and mini humbuckers which give them a totally different spec to the Sheraton, but on this model surely fitting them with standard humbuckers and the Tune-O-Matic bridge makes it nearly the same spec? The guitar looks and sounds amazing but I just wanted to know if it will be all that different to what I already own?

Cosmetics. Sheraton has a fancier binding and headstock art. Other than that they are just the same ES-335 as any other Epiphone or Gibson. And just as different as the same model can be different from each other side by side in terms of weight, acoustic resonance and etc. Have one. Nice one. It "only" needed a full fret level as the neck and fretwork was not very precise. After that it is an awesome one. And Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO pickups (not to be confused with ProBuckers) hit above expectations to be honest. Will not change them in this guitar for a while :)

Nice guitar. Your videos would be better if you played some recognizable songs, especially from Oasis instead of all that random jazz stuff.
