Right now I'm using CPM-154 stainless or A2 high carbon steel...I started with 80crv2 because it was cheaper and I scrapped a lot lol

Do you heat treat the spring after you drill it ?

I make sure the metal is flat before I drill the holes and yes that's before I heat treat

Thank u 👍 I didn't copy them from another pattern if that's what u mean...I built the knife and when I was happy with how it functioned and looked I then took the parts and scribed around them onto the liner material to make the patterns
