Great story’s Heath. A lot of those I can relate to 😂. Some of the things we did, it’s a miracle we are still alive.

Love hearing stories of your childhood. It brought back memories. Kids were much more creative years ago finding things to amuse themselves . That creativity seems to have disappeared. Today’s society has too many untrustworthy freaks so parents have become overprotective and are more like helicopter parents . We’d be gone for most of the day out building forts or riding dirt bikes we just had be home for dinner and in the house when the street lights came on. It’s a different world today unfortunately. Cheers Woody !!!

Times definitely have changed! We used to go out and do all kinds of stuff. Our kids still go out I. The woods and build forts, cook out, etc. but not many do.

Agree with Heath about yoga.. - I liked your stories.I got one, about ther time I went 90 mph on an old, wobbly, bent frame bicycle, holding on to the door handle of Mom's '54 Olds 98! Country highway (narrow, no shoulder), big dip, couple hudred yards side to side, semi truck coming the other way, car scooted way over to make room, guardrail right up next to road, and Mom kept accelerating, trying to make me turn loose! You CAN'T turn loose or it's certain wreck! Maybe up to 40 mph, but not the speed we were going. She slowed down again as we got to town. I never hitched a tow from her again!! For some reason, that true story always stops the childhood memories stories from everybody else. I still hitched rides, but only from people I deemed sane!

Another great podcast! The more listen to Hubie(?), the more I realize how similar we are even though I'm a little bit older. We could definitely have a good time hanging out and swapping stories!

We could go for miles and my mom never knew where we were. We had a pond with beaver houses which we would play hockey then sit up on the beaver lodge. We would shoot arrows at each other with a 50 lb wood bow. We were lucky to be alive.

Sorry Rachel, but I'm with Heath. Just be gypsies and see what happens. Trust me on this Heath, not a lot of people know this, but I've trained and competed in weight lifting for the last 30 years. My best workouts at the moment are 30 minutes 3 days a week. I do 20 minutes of push and pull exercises and 10 minutes of squats 3 times a week. No running, just walking on other days. No More No less and you'll be surprised.

I'll always admire Michigan! I worry about Dearborn, Michigan. Seems like a liberal hive from what I hear. My Mom (UP Michigan), wouldn't let me watch Gilligan's Island. It was too silly/goofy to her estimation. Don't say, thanks little buddy! I'm older.. LOL
