I review episode 2 & 3 of Batman Caped Crusader!! DC's new animated show, depicted off Batman the Animated Series, introduced a different take on Catwoman and Clayface. For Clayface, they kept the same concept of being a movie star with the urge to change his looks for stardom, but this time more for attraction from a woman instead of the movie audience. Catwomen was still fascinated with Batman, but instead of his looks and personality, she wanted to be just like him.
DC animation has taken a major step back since the success of the New 52 universe and standalone stories such as (Batman Under The Red Hood, Superman Doomsday, Justice League Doom, etc). It brings to wonder brining in a new adaptation of Batman into DC animation wouldn't be the right marketing move. Although there are many risks and changes to Batmans Lore, they're creative direction seemed to have worked out, FOR NOW!!
Batman: The Caped Crusader is Directed by Bruce Timm, Matt Reeves, and J.J Abahams. Hamish Linklater voices Batman, Jason Watkins voices Alfred, Eric Stuart voices Jim Gordan, and Diedrich Bader as Harvey Dent.
In this video, he gives his honest opinions of the episodes. There were twist and turns to Batmans rogue gallery villains Catowomen and Calyface. Tune in to find out exactly if I found these changes satisfying!!
