❤Mister Mote you are musically superb. My keyboard player passed last year.. In early gigs, he actually packed a fender Rhodes from gig to gig. In 2010 we saw Chick Corea and Gary Burton, right in front of Chick, on the crystal silence revisited tour. It was just otherworldly❤ you are a musical joy and I sure truly enjoy your style. This video put my musical heart in touch with my memory of Dion Taylor. thank you Gordon.

Haha. I was actually named after my Uncle Gordon, so I think that would be just perfect. Call me whatever you want, just keep spreading the word, and yes, I will for sure talk about Pig, as well as many of the other Nashville piano guys that have so greatly influenced me. Thanks for that suggestion.

Hello Mr. Mote. I’m so pleased you started a video series. I saw you on Toms channel and I love listening to you play. I am a guitar player, but I am learning some Rhodes/Piano stuff now. Just learning by ear based on some of the lines and chords you play here. I am so inspired. I love taking one or two notes, and seeing what harmonize with it. Deep broken hearted chords are my favorite. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Take care.

Gordon, it's like we grew up listening and absorbing the EXACT music at the exact same time and that is so heartening to see how 'deep' that music is inside of you...and how it flows out so wonderfully. Brother, I listen and watch a lot of videos of players and you, my friend are in my absolute Top Five of most musical people on this planet. You have been wonderfully made, man...and we are all so much better for it. What a blessing you are to my ears, my heart, and my soul. If you haven't already got the E Piano samples from Jay Graydon...you must as they actually have a patch called, "Not Like This." All those amazing Rhodes sounds off one of the most coveted instruments of our time, finally available to us all. It's truly inspiring. I wish I had one-hundredth of the talent you possess for I can only imagine what it must feel like to play those great Jarreau songs under your hands. Know that for many of those songs, like I Will Be Here For You...and Not Like This, all the Pages songs, Airplay (Foster/Graydon), so, so many others...deserved to be chronicled in some form...and I can't think of anyone better. Moreover, it will help you to monetize your channel...for us old guys are seeking nostalgia...and there's no one who has played that stuff with any real competency... Bless you, man... I'm so glad that Buk introduced me to you and your talent... Thank you!

My 1st memory of a Rhodes is Just the way you are. Nothing like aRhodes withers Phase 90. My dream set up would be a Rhodes or Wurley, B3 w a 122 leslie, Hohner Clav , and minimoog. And of course acoustic piano. Thanks Gordon, you're inspiring me to sit back down at the keys and carry on where I left off 20 yrs ago. Ps, do you play any B3 or just acoustic and electric piano?
