Christine, the saying, "Eat your frogs," sprung to mind then. If you hate a job, do it first and then enjoy the jobs you love. Your plot always looks lovely 😊

Hi, well that's a saying I've never heard of but yes it fits and thank you for your kindness, I do enjoy the plot. 😊

Yes I have heard grass clippings will generate warmth as it breaks down. Fab wonky carrot 🥕 and any carrot is better from the garden Christine. I start out with good intentions of keeping the tomatoes 🍅 tidy but I think they would beg to differ 😂😂 as they are running rampant. Lovely update and harvest, have a wonderful week, Ali 🥵🌞🇨🇦

Hi Ali, well you and me both with untidy tomatoes, I've lost track which is the main stem on certain plants and yes they are growing wild. As long as I get a crop that's the main thing. Hope you are having a great week. 😊

Christine, thanks for the advice to do the job you hate the most when you first get in the garden. Done and dusted. Great advice! Cindy from across the pond.

Hi, you are so welcome, I must admit since following that advice I tend to get more done because all the jobs after are so much nicer!

Your carrots are amazing! I harvested a few yesterday but they were quite small and very mis shaped, so yours are way much better especially that first one!

oh Christine I hear what you're saying about the niggly job of tying in, I have never thought about it. The tomato pinching and tying in for me. Think getting on top of it all, when I look again a couple of days later, I've achieved nothing. The side shoots are 2 foot tall. The arch looks fab on the plot now plants are starting to scramble up it. Last week the mini muncher cucumbers succumbed to the heavy wet rain and all rotted, disappointing. The weather has improved this past week so fingers crossed things are on the up. Thank you for sharing. 🐞🌻🌱

Wow those carrots look great. I rarely enjoy eating carrots because they're so bland, but home grown ones on a different level aren't they! I haven't had success on my plot, but they're growing brilliantly in tubs at home 🥕🥕

I totally agree, homegrown is such a better flavour, great news they are growing in pots, I hope to try that too at some point.

Hi Oooh your carrots look tasty. Do you stick to a certain variety? The pumpkin arch is packed with blooms. May I ask if the arch will support them? Or are they mini pumpkins? Beautiful allotment🍰👍🌟☕💞

Hi, I've grown two carrot varieties this year - Touchon which are really slow but the ones I've just harvested are (I think) Autumn King, I'll have to check next time I'm at the plot and mention on my next video. The pumpkins are mini, JackBLittle and Baby Boo, I am hoping wth the wire over the arch it will work, everything crossed! 😊
