I just subscribed after seeing your Vertices Unite episode, and I'm so glad I did. Your thought processes are interesting. I have frogged my own knits a few times and generally I am happy to so that I can make something I will enjoy using/wearing more than the old item. It's sad that there are so many people who don't appreciate handwork and can toss or donate handknits that were probably given to them with love. All the more reason to give to only knitworthy people!!!

Thanks! I'll keep y'all posted. Turns out the main color in the body was held double, so I'm going to have a lot of yardage to work with.

Oh yes, I love to find wool sweaters - esp. large men's sizes - to frog for the yarn. Such a treasure! And such a good deal. :)

Really? I'd love to see what you make with them. I don't know if I'll keep doing myself, but it's nice to know I can especially if I come a cross a really special yarn in a mass-produced sweater.

I've used silk singles to knit a dress, a shawl, and a reversible double knit dino game messenger bag. Still trying to figure out if I'm going to make a tank top or a hat with some of what's left, but I have easily enough to play around with. Can't wait to see the finished Le Pouf on you! It'll be awesome!

Wow! you are well versed in the are of knitting w/ singles, I also love the idea of finding projects to use up every last bit of yarn.
