Wasn't this lowkey a great weekend for Marc? This is probably the circuit where the performance gap between the GP23 and the GP24 will be the largest all year, and it's one of his least favorite tracks (the only season he managed to win in Mugello was 2014). He was still faster than Martin all weekend and matched Bagnaia's pace in the sprint. He cut Martin's championship lead down by a few points and managed to improve on his single-lap pace. He's also shown that he's fast on the GP23 without having to constantly push the limit, which means that we're likely to see one of those seasons where he barely crashes out of races (that's generally speaking the main thing people get wrong about him - if he's comfortable, he almost never crashes in races. He only crashed out of a single race in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2019). This would be an issue especially for Bagnaia, if he keeps crashing at the same rate he did the last two seasons (and this year, too).

*Pecco crashed out of five GPs in both 2022 and 2023.

You got the biggest point 👉 If Marc feels good on a bike, he doesn't crash. All of his recent crashes in Honda was due to the bike being unstable and no way near compatible against the top guys. People don't understand these facts.

Neil looking like he's ready to record a psychidelic shoegaze record in a downtown (Downton?) Cafe. Dave looking ready to show you some magic at the same coffee shop. Adam looking ready to drive the Discovery to kids soccer practice but lost the keys in the same coffee shop and can't go. Oh shame. Love you boys 😜

Pretty harsh attitude to Bastianini I think chaps. The kid was pretty damned solid on the GP22 and I expect would have been a lot further up the results on the GP23 if not taken out early in the season. Given the lost time and the still lingering physical issues I think he is doing well enough. Would not be surprised if Ducati have similar thoughts. Now, with Martin signing for Aprilia I am guessing Marquez will go to Lenovo Ducati, which I believe is good for marketing, but I think not good long term for Ducati. That being the case, do not be surprised to see Bastianini on a GP25 under Pramac colors. Gazing into my crystal ball I see Pecco taking a third title in a row as this weekend showed Martin doing as I predicted - folding under pressure.

Relatively boring, different brands racing each other offer better race viewing.

The race was the worst I've seen in years, absolutely dreadful except for Enea doing something in the last lap.

a great start (by Pecco) to weave his way to the front...a great finish by the Beast...with a great final corner pass...the rest was meh...with an additional point for Acosta trying to make his alternative lines work lap after lap.

All 3 riders in the press conference said that there is not a huge difference between the 23 and 24 ducati. Yet you are saying there is a huge difference. So who is right???

Because all of them were riding the GP 24's and didn't wanted to admit the fact that Marc on a 24 machine will beat them. They are clearly playing the mind-game..The power difference of the two bikes was clearly visible in Mugello

A couple minutes video of you 3 gathered around a rubbish bin is the best you guys can do? Really? This is KZitem not AM radio. And a visual on your interviews would be appreciated.

Firstly, there are limits to what we are allowed to do at a MotoGP race by Dorna. We are only allowed to do a few minutes of video. Secondly, do you have even the slightest idea how much work it is to produce video? Especially when working at the track and having to fit it in between a hundred other things. Thirdly, it's not AM radio, it's a podcast. Maybe look up the definition sometime. Fourthly, if you think you can do better, I strongly recommend you give it your best shot. Fifthly and finally: with the greatest of respect Franklin, fuck off.
