Eric, I love hearing your thoughts and I love graded cards! Sure the grading companies are not perfect, but I think they do a pretty darn good job overall! Thanks for sharing your cards and thoughts! 😊👊

Agree with some of your points but disagree with others. Yes, every company makes mistakes, but PSA, in particular, has molded the landscape to the point that every inconsistent grade they give actually earns THEM more money because so many idiot collectors gladly crack open newly graded cards and PAY again for the very service they just got screwed on in hopes the grade gets bumped. Surely you have to acknowledge this is a major problem, right? Just saying "it is what it is" is the mentality that allows them to flourish and keep the problem going.

i would argue that the people that are cracking and resubbing are not collectors, but people looking to make as much money as possible by selling. yes, this is a problem as a whole. PSA has said they are cracking down on it, but i dont see it either.

Look Eric, every argument for grading being a scam has at minimum some merit however your right, when was the last time a big sale of a raw 311 made headlines; crickets and ya the bottom line is “It is what it is”. With your hobby knowledge you’re winning by picking up those fantastic lower grade slabs.

I also buy every card intended for grading. However, I sometimes change my mind on sending a card to the grader. So far I’m happy with SGC. And I prefer Dr Pepper! I’ll be happy to send you a Dr Pepper bottle 🫡

Enjoyed the video. The BGS slab with the sleeve inside looks horrible. The Mantle is the the greatest looking 1 I have seen. I used CGC when they first opened, cheap beautiful slabs. Then they changed labels 3 times and I gave up. I don't mind buying graded but I prefer raw or something in a lower grade, def not a ten buyer. Good stuff sir, look forward to watching more of your videos.

The hobby would be 1/4 the size it currently is without grading. Maybe 1/10th. The advent of grading was, with hindsight, a no brainer and a game changer. After whinging about my last sub 12 months ago I'm biting the bullet and doing another. I have a nice looking Bedard YG that needs a holder.

Eric I agree with every single word you spoke. Its like we have the same collecting brain when it comes to graded cards and people crying about things. I also have the same order as you PSA,CGC, SGC slab sucks, BGS. I have always had 2 collections 1 was a graded card collection and 1 with my own raw graded collection. Ofcourse now I am upgrading my raw cards into my own slabs with legit labels but now I count those with my graded cards. I absolutely love hearing you talk and show cards. That ichiro /5 man what a pick up you beat me to it 😂😂😂. Ok let me get back to watching the rest and see if I agree with the last half of your video 😂😂 👊🤙🤙

I made a comment on another video that these grading companies sometimes hire young folks with no experience so you should expect the occasional bad result. Well, as always, people got offended. They said that every new hire has experience and that they don’t hire young graders. Lol. But it’s the truth. So, Nobody can expect perfect results every time. It’s a human process. Some graders better than others

I will say I think one of the most misguided things about grading hate is that it tends to focus on the companies themselves rather than consumers and their behavior. It's kind of like blaming McDonald's for making people too heavy. I personally think the junkies who crack and resubmit to get a second subjective opinion from a minimum wage employee are nuts, as did I think the people who rushed to slab two dozen of their Gavin Lux and Casey Mize cards a few years ago. But that comes back to consumer behavior, not the grading companies. Of course, that doesn't mean the companies themselves don't do things you should criticize them for (slabgate, etc.) At this point, like cigarettes and Big Macs, everyone knows what grading is. Participate if you want, or don't.

To me it's the price if I can get a graded card for around the same price as a ungraded then I buy it. I don't have many graded cards. I tend to like my cards ungraded as I put them in boxes. To me I am just happy with owning the card. Maybe one day I will want to get stuff graded but right now I just want certain cards.

TAG is being stupid with their cheap slab with no 1-999 grade cards , destroys their ordinal plan to rank cards
