I did notice the "uncle" called the "nephew" "son" in passing earlier.

Alright then... That was an adventure. I didnt like it... I absolutely loved it. This was FULL of fun intrigue and crazy mind blowing moments. Honestly I stand by that it is really hard to find much negative with this episode but I may have to rewatch/listen a few more times over just to get over the sheer amount of chaotic information going on. There were definitely some theories going on in my mind that I cant entirely elaborate on at the moment as my brain is still taking time to recover from all that. Still there was a moment or two where I was like "called it!" Which felt especially good. I am super excited to see where this adventure heads next. I will say just as before Im glad that Gabe didnt outright "kill" Norrins character *even if ironically now thats what Norrin suggest doing himself* though he had me (and it seems the players as well) for a while there. Alex outright stating at the beginning that he is well "terrified" with good reason goes to show the amount of thought and planning that has gone into this on Gabes part. There is so much going on... Okay but the number of sheer people trying to "flirt" with Norrin had me in stitches this episode. Im convinced this is just becoming the new running gag of the series. (Started with Renya and Shadow, the gm gets in on it with tendrils again and ends with Renya suggesting Pearl and Jarret rub oil on Norrin) Injecting that extra bit of friend group humor really helps when those more serious moments begin to overwhelm/get dark. Its part of what makes DnD like this and Critical Role so worth watching/listening to! Whats interesting to me is I am not sure whether Craig picked up on the mention of orbs later on or not. It was way back in episode 1 orbs were mentioned and whether or not they were the same or similar orbs intrigues me because the characters rolled so low in both cases. It may be completely unrelated but after relistening to that it just stood out to me. Loved the short bit of Caleb finally getting to play his guitar again only to be immediately shut down "NOT THE TIME!" Maybe some day we will actually get to see the bard play again (I think he has played his guitar even less than Renya has actually healed which says something) So much set up. The way Gabe is weaving the story here really has both the players and viewers on edge. "What does it mean" indeed Jarret. The tension of the moments between Jarret and dear ole Steven just really speaks to Gabes skill as a storyteller and actor even (The emotion on Gabes face really makes watching the video version of this worthwhile) I could *feel* the seething through the screen and was on the edge of my seat waiting to see just how this would go down. It was pretty clear Gabe didnt want it to happen then and there just yet (Adding more to the tension) and when we finally reached the moment of reveal later on...OH SNAP that just happened :D Both "big bads" as it were just kind of literally abandoned ship there. I know from previous lets play shows (CR is especially famous for it) that is quite a great way to build up later battles when the players can be more prepared. Love that we know little to nothing about them (Aside from what little Caleb knows of his backstory which isnt a lot) I find it funny that this episode was obviously filmed a while back as I have spoken personally to players who had mentioned "something big happening with Calebs character" and this was the episode where that truly came out. Gotta say Craig is either the luckiest or unluckiest of players as he either rolls the most Nat 20s or rolls quite low. Pretty balanced as a monk should be. Alex has a bit of the same luck though a little less than him. (Maybe if he would use his gear dice...:P) And on the subject of rolls its good to see them being a bit more widespread now as well as relying a lot more on passive perception (You can tell characters what is around them in regular environments. Not EVERYTHING is a secret) So I guess on a technical level I would like to point out that the screen worked a lot better this episode. I could actually *see* the player characters a bit better as well as the enemies they were fighting. Combat felt a lot easier to follow. I will say too as a note to the GM: A handy thing to have on hand is a book with tabs that will help you to look up spells that you are using for your characters especially so that you dont have to check as much on how a spell works/what you are doing in a situation. Similarly keep notes close at hand for maps and such so you can reference "this is how much space is in X room"/"this is the size of x item" and not have to worry about misguiding a player. I dont think it effected things too hard here as the players were still able to play through it and understand things but it does speed things a long a bit makes for less "Erm....lemme think/check" moments as well. So overal feelings: This episode was indeed filled with many emotions but most of them were me screaming not in frustration but in excitement and anticipation of the next big reveal (and oh boy there were a lot of them) I think there is still things that we cant entirely explain (IE: Time travel wut) but are moving towards it nonetheless. SO looking forward to more!!!! As always ending with my favorite quotes for the episode "And Im terrified."-Alexs actual reaction to his characters near death experience. "Here for a good time not for a long time" as well as the follow up "New character in the wings" exchange between Caleb and Gabe just sent me. Way to set the bar for the episode. "Youre just going to toss Norrin"-Apparently EVERYONE in this episode wanted to do that. "Can I feel his skin"-Need I say more. The "Golf course" conversation and Gabe just being done. "Its weird its always looking at you. I dont like it..." "I dont like it either"-Love this. Also Im watching you Wazowski...always watching. "What does that mean uncle? I love you but what does that mean?"-Yes we would all like to know this. "As it sucks the life out of Norrin for being sassy"-Rocks fall. Everybody dies. And finally "Jarren you should go to therapy."-Pretty sure that goes for everybody Renya. Especially the audience/players at the absolute WHIPLASH that reveal caused. Onward to episode 6! Cant wait to see the results of all this nonsense XD Things just keep getting better and better!

Mwhahah! Loving everyone's reactions so far. :D Also, that is a great idea to have everyone's spells handy. I'm a bit slapdash in that way, but I think that could really help tighten things up. Thanks!
