Whoever said Jeremy doesn’t stand up to Chris needs to watch this one. One of the most powerful episodes of D&D I’ve ever seen, on a par with the best moments of adventure zone balance. Bravo, Jeremy!!

This episode was far and away my favorite work of Jeremy Crawford's. He absolutely nailed the impossible version's of every character. Genuine emotional responses from the whole table, and from me as a viewer as well.

The structure of the series is excellent. Having each session take place in (essentially) one or two rooms lets the roleplay and character interactions take center stage over exploration. Nothing is lost by increasing the density of the dungeon. No more arguing about which way to go. It never feels boring, even when the players are confused about what to do next. DMs are always ready with a nudge to keep things moving. The plot does not involve 10 minute dialogs by NPCs. The dining room table setup creates a sense of intimacy that is missing from other shows that have big to-dos as part of their production. Brilliant decisions by the team. The collective expertise and knowledge in the room about storytelling as entertainment is demonstrated with each episode. Can’t wait for the next one!

The emotional weight of this episode makes me nostalgic for Dice, Camera, Action. And that ethereal music for the lake is wonderful and I want it. Also, I really hope we can have an extended Accounts Playable at the end of the season where Chris and Jeremy can discuss writing and running the campaign.

Right? That's exactly what I thought! I actually gasped as I realized why that show was so great and why no other came close to it for me for some mysterious reason. AcqInc, the OG series is amazing quality and great fun but I've been missing the emotional torture of DCA.

this episode was insanely awesome! my favourite yet. and I hope now Jeremy gets the recognition he deserves as a DM. I love Chris, hes the og after all, but I always felt like a lot of fans didnt give Jeremy a chance and always sorta pushed him into Chris' shadow. But I hope now those fans recognize that Jeremy is a fucking awesome DM. not that he wasnt before this episode. he always did an amazing job. but theres something really satisfying about Jeremy being the one to deliver that emotional blow and creating one of the, in my opinion, most meaningful and soulcrushing scenes in the acq inc games. both Jeremy and Chris are seperate DMs and deserve appreciation for their amazing work and not always be metaphorically pitched against each other by the fans also HUGE props to Jerry for building on that scene and helping creating that emotional impact of his vision. I see a lot of people complain that he interrupts too much and tries to take the wheel too much, and I get it, but if the group is fine with it (and I expect they are or they would discuss it with him backstage), it's not a problem imo. Im also kinda like that when playing dnd without even intending to, until someone tells me to slow down. it's the enthusiasm and excitement of the game, and I think it's kinda nice to see the passion for it. But imo Jerry has an amazing talent for getting a feel for how to improve a scene and make it hit just right. He always delivers great lines, knows where to take it to make the scene and story work, how to keep perfectly in character while also not hindering the others by that (I f.e. once when I was new-ish to the game fucked over my group because I wouldnt help them because it went against my characters convictions, and in hindsight that was a dick move and I shouldve found a way to make it work), and to heighten the impact of scenes. Genuinely all of the cast are amazing not only at playing and cracking jokes but also at convincingly playing their characters, making the game flow right and feel natural, and creating scenes together. I think the whole cast deserves so much love
