Actually I have been through Cessna aircraft co. In the hangers they have the floors either just the sleek concrete or they have them in the white sleek floors. Makes them look clean, and the white brightens up the whole hangers. And the coating is like a protective layer and makes cleaning up any accidents easier to see, and clean. They use floor sweeper machines custodial personal use to mop and wax with. If they kept the floor dark and the room won't be as bright. Also another reason why dark floors are probably not a good idea, is because those big hangers when their doors are wide open for airplanes to go in and out of including other vehicles, it can get very hot kind of like a giant stove. But with the white floors it doesn't get as hot as it would be with darker floors, so it cuts back the heat a bit so it cuts the heat a bit more vs. Keeping the dark floors during summer and if the sun in summer shines on the darker floor, it's no better than hot asphalt out in the open.

HE had all three worked on continiusly by these 3 airplane mecchanics i came to know , so they were like brand news , the floor was impeccable , good enough to eat off of . But interestingly Moran was famous ,in that space atleast, for giving a hour's notice to take off , Japan or Europe , all over the USA ,so their was a full crew to fly , sitting by on call . So , the mechanics and then myself ,came to dislike the pilots ,arrogant stuck up beotches ,that thought that there was a pecking order in a deserted bunker . Good ole days . Hesds up to Mrs.Moran for building half houses for beatened wives and children all over South Florida.

I certainly don’t miss this career. Long hours. Capped pay, hard work. Prep work was always a drag. Did polyurethane, MMA, epoxy, self level, Ucrete. Polishing. Always had to train guys, never had a solid team. After the long hours, you had a long commute. Most the money was in the big cities. I thought about doing my own business but I was so burnt out, I opted for a new career. Got in at 19 and started running my own jobs for a company at 22 😂 Left when I was 25. Taught me many things though. Skills I’ll keep with me till the end.

@@jeffsopczak7921 In Canada, B.C, Vancouver, the pay was capped at $30/hr. The overtime was ridiculous and my paycheques were a solid $2000-$2500 bi-weekly. Stopped looking at how much the government was taking 🤬 You can certainly support a family with that income, but considering Vancouver is one of the most expensive places in Canada, it’s low compared to the construction industry. There’s is training courses or certification from specific manufacturers. Most companies don’t spend the money to recertification every couple years. Most of the work acquired was always through word of mouth, referrals, and pictures/videos. Most days would be 10-14 hours and weekend work was always going on. I miss the money, but don’t miss the time lost.
@Caleb-143iyk

@@jeffsopczak7921 My comment was deleted for some reason…I live in Canada, B.C. very expensive place to live. Pay was capped at $30/hr for supervisors. No room for higher wages once you reach it. Didn’t even offer completion bonuses for jobs finished on time or earlier. With the overtime I was taking home between 2000-2600 bucks bi-weekly. That being said, there was a lot of overtime. It’s a huge time sucker. Trade your time for decent pay. People don’t necessarily want that these days. They want to be there for their kids, not showing up at home for 6:00-7:00PM!
