Have you noticed any fading since you printed? I saw some people say their images faded significantly a week so after printing.

Hi Sara. At the time of this video, just for this reason, I printed two of the same photo and put one on top of the other and left them out to compare. They seldom get direct sunlight (you don't want that on any picture) but get a fair amount of ambient light. So far I can see no difference but I have my doubts; I'm also concerned that they will fade sooner than a dedicated photo printer ink.

I've experimenting with two prints ; one left out with some exposure to the sun and the other without exposure to check fading and so far i don't see any... can't vouch for the 3750 but I'm still pretty impressed with this model

I own this and would NOT recommend anyone buy it. Photo printing has streaks all the time and sometimes added black blotches. It worked well for the first month or two but hasn't worked well since. Had to replace the maintenance box within the 1-year warranty period. Now 3 months past the warranty and need to replace the maintenance box again. It won't do a power cleaning without a new maintenance box. Epson refuses to stand by their product and is insisting that I buy a new maintenance box to replace the replacement one that I have that is less than 8 months old. In addition, printing is very slow. There must be better products out there. Don't waste your money on this one.

I am on the third one first came broken pieces, second dark horizontal bars, black blobs(puddles) with leaked ink streaks. I have talked to Epson all they say clean the nozzles which I do many, many times and this does not help. Epson says do a power clean and it won't, it shows maintenance box is full and I had not done a power clean in to this box yet so why is it full. I just returned the second printer and the third one unpacking it taking the tape off inside and a spring is stuck to it and have no idea where it came from so I am trying to get Epson to contact me to let me know what to do, no answer yet it has only been 4 days. Maybe they will send me a forth one who knows, it has to be costing Epson more than the printer is worth and I can see in the end I will lose.

rglil i am an artist & bought this to make my own prints. I have had no issues with horizontal lines or black blotches, or anything else. i know power clean is only used as a last resort & uses loads of ink. Maybe you are doing too much to correct the issues & should send to a shop?I use my printer everyday & print reference photos on copy paper which are good enough to see fine detail & artist inkjet paper for my prints. If i was better at photo editing my prints would be excellent ,as it is ,they are good enough to sell so im a happy customer.

Been looking at it for a couple of days now. it's a pretty expensive printer that is getting some mixed reviews and then there is the epson L1800 it's older and has you take out the tanks before filling them and you can only connect to it via USB. But it has 6 ink colors so it should result in nicer photos. worst of all is that it's a want not a need...

Could it be that that more suitable colour profiles could be used to give a better print in terms of the colours?
@MDLloyd
4 жыл бұрын
Hi John I believe the ET 7750 decides which black to use based on your paper choice. It does not give you the option to turn on or off either. Photo black is made for glossy type paper because mate black doesn't dry fast enough on that type of surface. The mate black is a darker black and usually looks better but I've had it bead up on shinny photo paper and bleed.All RGB sRGB photos have to be converted to CMYK to print and you can get color shifts but Epson does a pretty good job of converting RGB to CMYK. You are correct editing in CMYK give you more control of the print colors, if you don't have a program that gives you that option then I've found it best to err on the side of less saturation for your brighter colors. Thanks for your comments!

Hello, just thinking about buying this printer for photo printing, I know that in order to get an accurate result you need to convert to CMYK colours, but will that produce a good result on this printer or it just doesn't have a wide range of colours?
@MDLloyd
4 жыл бұрын
@@journeyinwards9692 I think that is the problem with this printer' it is not a dedicated photo printer and has to rely on just mixing the basic three colors. It does a pretty good job but a dedicated photo printer with 6 or 8 colors will just by the nature of a wide color palette will do better. If your buying it just for photo printing I think you will be disappointed.

WARNING!! If you print borderless photos you will have to have the borderless inkpad replaced at just over 4,000 prints which they don't tell you and that costs £120 add to that 4x waste ink service boxes @ £16 each. That service isn't a quick job and has to go to a service centre to be done. We have already waited 3 weeks for them to collect ours. Once this printer decides this needs doing it locks up until it's returned.

Good morning from West Australia. I went ahead and bought the machine from Amazon, the only place left in the country that had 4 left. Even Epson were waiting for supplies. Well it arrived, badly packed, no tape on the bottom or the inside roller white box, that all fell out. Had to up end the machine and find out how it all went back in. Once sorted it was a breeze to set up. I used quality Permajet paper, they look really good. Colours are bright and lively. Ive been busy printing like mad. Running out of paper. thats another problem too, supplies in local shops are non existent. Back to Ebay for those. This covid situation is creating shortages an everything. Stay well and stay safe.

To be frank... when printing a photo from RGB to CMYK w/ Photoblack, you are going to have differences. If you make adjustments for CMYK using Photoshop (for example), you should get better printed photos. Anyho... thanks for the review

Also... if using high gloss photo paper, I'm not sure I would want to use the photoblack (case by case). I'm hoping the photoblack has a it has a on/off feature (as it should), in the printer setup software as it should for black ink only (aka greyscale).

I had a epson artisan 837 over eight years ago with that feature. Today you cannot find a quality photo printer with a fax on it, they just keep going downhill all the time. I love the prints this machine makes ( when it was new) andI love the fact that I don't have to spend a small fortune on ink but let me share with you my whole experience, The first eight months or so everything was fine and then I began to see photos with black ink deposits on the prints (not good). so I called Epson and they were very accommodating and they sent me a refurbished machine and I sent them back the old one. That one worked for about six months and then began to exhibit the same problems as the first one. I must say Epson again was very forthcoming and replaced it yet again but the third (refurbished) which machine worked for only two months and then displayed an error message regarding the maintenance box which in consultation with Epson we could not make go away and so they are sending yet another printer (# FOUR). This time it will be a new one rather than refurbished and I hope FOUR times will be a charm. I asked them if I could have a discount on another model but they said no. They have spent a lot of $$$ on shipping back and forth to me and it would make more sense to just give me a discount but C'est la vie. I truly hope this "new" printer works because when it works the quality of the prints is very goods and I love the larger size prints I can make. Would I buy it again? NO, I would try the newer version in hopes they have worked out the bugs!!!

@Peter Hasert Can you link to where they say that? I think Epson pigment based inks might be archival quality, but their dye based inks (all but the photo black in this eco tank printer are dye based) last significantly less time. More like 5-7 years from what I've read. But I'm having trouble finding actual epson source for that info.

This printer pisses me off. It says it can print double sided printing. Yet I have no options for it. The manual is pretty much useless because it just talks in jargon that no one can understand nor find the origin of where to start so I can only pretend to imagine how to use the printer. Only word says double sided printing...if I MANUALLY turn the pages around. Total garbage.

Theres some settings that you can adjust within the printer itself, as well as from your pc or even the epson printing app. I also want the best photos but the eco tank refill feature more than makes up fot any issues. This thing has so much ink, that you could just keep printing until you found the right settings without a care in the world. The other poster size printers I saw have super expensive ink at $60 to $70 a cartridge and there are several of them.

I am seriously considering getting that printer. It's a great all-in-one, has a scanner, copier, lots of options for printing photos and documents. However, I'm kinda concerned that it only uses 3 colour inks. You can get a much more versatile "office" ecotank for about half the price, but without the second black ink. Do you think there's a major difference between this one and regular ecotanks since this printer is pretty expensive?
@MDLloyd
4 жыл бұрын
IF your getting it as a dedicated Photo printer I think you will be disappointed, It does do a very good job for a multi tasking Consumer printer but there are better options for Pro photo printing. I don't own any other Eco Tank printers so I have nothing to compare it with but it seems the Photo Black does make a big difference especially compared to the Epson Workforce 845 and the HP T120 (both 3 color and a standard black cartridge printers) Neither are "Photo" Printers. The HP is a CAD printer but you can buy a "Photo Black " for it but it's not made for photo resolutions and the 845 boasts photo printing but I'm not impressed with it. From what I've read the ET 7750 ink will start to fad in about 4 years on wall hung under glass photos so it's not a Pro photo printer but i think it does bridge the gap better consumer and Pro Printing. Hope that helps

@@Hoggdoc1946 you are correct so far this it the largest format eco tank I could find. FYI The photo black is a quick drying black for glossy paper and usually is not as deep black as the other so you don't get as much range out of it as you do standard ink.
