Putting the value of t , we get
S = ½ (v + u) x (v - u)/a
S = ½ v2 - vu + uv - u2

S = ½ [v2 - u2]/ a

S = A [area of trapezium ABDO]
S = A [ABC + ACOD]
S = ½ [AC X BC] + [AO X OD]
