Really ❤ this thing. I live in Tornado (🌪️) Alley, and it has proven itself to be useful many times. During a recent winter storm, a HUGE transfomer had exploded, causing power to go out for nearly 4 HOURS. I used my radio to catch the Kansas City Chiefs vs Miami Dolphins game during the outage. Due to recent content I have seen on the news, I have put a few of these in a Faraday Cage, in case a nuke war, a EMP war broke out, and/ or the Sun went nuts(☢️⚡⚠️💥, ⚠️⚡☢️, ☀️⚡). Nice job here. ❤❤❤❤❤

A good piece of emergency equipment Bruce. Add S.A.M.E. technology to this radio, and it would be an excellent weather/all hazards emergency radio. The very best ever emergency radio for camping and outdoors was the Midland HH54 family of radios, and for whatever silly reason Midland has discontinued this radio without replacing it with a ‘suitable’ replacement. This radio and others like it, frankly miss the mark lacking the S.A.M.E. feature. Many people get annoyed with it going off with every watch and warning sent out by the NOAA weather station the radio is receiving. Wish Midland would put out a suitable replacement for the HH54 with S.A.M.E technology. This is not just my feelings, but the opinions of almost all in the weather radio and outdoor community. I’m very disappointed in Midland dropping the ball on this one. I’m a wildlife researcher and our group hasn’t purchased any portable Emergency Weather Radios since Midland discontinued the HH54 that we heavily relied on for our safety in the field. Midland is missing out on a major piece of the market from outdoor professionals, enthusiast and nature lovers. Our HH54 radios are getting old and most are “Frankenstein weather/emergency radios” made up from parts of other HH54 radios stripped down for their parts. We once has 21 HH54 radios, now we’re down to just 7, 6 of which are the “Frankenstein HH54 Radios”, without a viable replacement available. We have one Desktop Midland Weather Radio in each Ranger Station or other base of operations, but we need good portable Weather Radios with S.A.M.E. for those working in the field. I hope Midland hears this and looks into this great needed. It would be easy enough for them to learn the need for a real HH54 replacement… or to once again produce the HH54.
