Great videos. I'm going to use your rig as a guide for my upgrade. Moving on from my GTTrack with Motion Platform V3. Ordering the RS Ultimate this week.

Love your videos. Im wondering if you know of a parts list or written guide or spread sheet of parts or directions. As in what size nuts and bolts, size gussets how many etc. I was going through your vidros trying to calculate on my own. Also, im looking at getting the rigmetal plus as the frame. Its 51 inches in lentgh and same width as yours. Essentially, follow same size as your extrusions except match surge to the rig length? Im ready to buy everything but the lack of directions is terrifying. You have the most intuitive guide ive found. Lastly, since these videos, is there anything you wish you did or didnt do different now?

Thanks! I am putting together a parts list and written instructions. For you other question, 2 things: 1- make the TL back piece an inch shorter from each end. 2- purchase another actuator and have double TL (rear and front) instead of just one. But 2 is optional and just a preference.

@@simul8master I'd be using it for flight sim using helicopters, so front and rear TL would probably be better than surge, plus the rig would be super tall lol

I'm thinking, would front and rear TL go on the same level, I can't wrap my head around how there'd be another level of traction loss under surge.

@@demdirtyboyz247 Yea one in the front and one in the back. See PT actuator website. They offer a solution like this but it's pretty expensive.

@@simul8master WOW, so I checked the PT actuators site, I also found RACE@HOME Lowslider, that thing seems like a plug and play, super smooth option. Granted its about 5+k more than the RS Ultimate all said and done. Slighty less than PT Actuators 6dof, but same concept and products.

Thanks for the video, it is very helpful. The cost of the profiles is high when bought in the US. I was wondering if it would not be cheaper to buy a couple of rigs from Microcenter, for example a P1X clone and a GT1 EVO or a clone. As a bonus would be no need for shipping or painting it black. The hardware would also be provided. I will have to see the measurements from your other video but it appears that this would be cheaper.

I wanted to go down that route - adding it all up it was not really cheaper. Could be more. But does not hurt to check

🤯 This is an amazing motion platform solution..!!! 😎💯👌🏾 I'm curious to know if you're likely to also add a TL actuator at the FRONT to supply a *"Double Traction Loss"* setup or "FULL 6DOF" with the addition of "SWAY"..??? 🤔💯👍🏽 Thanks for sharing..!!! 🙏🏽

Hey! I did not. The RS ultimate did not have it. I’ll probably add it later on. Thank you!

most titles do not support front traction loss, it's just not worth it.

I’m looking at going for the rs ultimate, getting a tr160 frame/cockpit. What else is needed and how do you go about building this ? Are you able to send me an email guide or something ?

Hey! I have a lot of videos for step by step build on this channel.

@@simul8master hi, thanks for responding. I’m watching some of them now. I see you had a t160 base too, what did you build the surge and traction loss platforms out of ? That’s my confusion.

I have a video explaining all this. I got those frames from framingtech and then I cut at home to my liking. You can also see my measurements video and order it pre-cut. All your questions are answered in the videos. A lot of details
