Fun fact, since I played the SNES version of UN squadron, I didn't know there were 7 songs, not featured in the SNES version, like 7:17 , 18:08 , 34:18 , 37:21 , 44:04 , 48:07 and 57:16. Very surprised 7 of those songs didn't appear in the SNES version!

Inevitably, due to memory restrictions, they had to be cut. The SNES port already uses some of the arcade's SFX at a very low quality (shooting and explosions for example), so it's presumed they had to cut corners to save space

Though that track at 18:08 is Japanese exclusive. It plays during the bonus rounds that were cut in the US arcade version. A shame too, as it directly references one of the anime OVA's scenes.
I recorded it from a game base. The sound chip is oki-MSM6295 in YAMAHA-YM2151 and PCM.

@@user-tw9yz3ks6k Nice, I hadn't heard of that first one before. The OPM makes sense for an arcade board though.

@@TatharNuar MSM6295 seems to be used only for sound effects. In BGM, only real YM2151 sounds. As the arcade board which I bought nearly 30 years ago still works, I am glad. Thus, I was able to record it.

@@user-tw9yz3ks6k Correct. The MSM6295 wouldn't be used in the CPS1 for music until Final Fight.

@@solarflare9078 It is used only for some sound effect.
