He didn’t build them, he got them back on track. The players suited the only style of play he knows perfectly. At Bayern he had a different team and was unable to adapt. The same team that was rocking under Heynckes and won the CL under Pep got hammered by Madrid and Barca because of his one-dimensional approach. When Heynckes returned they played great in the CL again just like under many others. At Man City in his first season he didn’t do well, they conceded goals too easily for a big team and he bought his way out. He ruined Bravo’s confidence because of forcing that one style of play he knows on him… He has had 2 top class teams in the squad for years now and always underperforms in the CL even though everything opened up for him from having a brutal squad to the competition not being that fierce as it used to be.

@@Rick-hx7tx Palace fan? 😉 I am no City fan at all, but I think you are stretching it much to claim that the ref changed the game. Did he do a mistake to disallow a Palace goal? Maybe, but that was extremely difficult to see and I totally understand why he disallowed it for what he saw from his position. I am sure 9/10 refs would have disallowed it. The VAR didn't correct it either because it was still difficult to judge it with video. But let us say that Palace had got that goal and got a 3 goal lead. City still managed to score 4 goals. You can always think that a 3 goal lead would make City give up, but I very much doubt they would. So most likely would City win this game anyway. Either 4-2 or 4-3. I understand that the Palace loss hurts if you are a Palace fan, but you just have to accept it.
