It's a very 😔unfortunate typo. Ernest Bloch was Born in 1880 and Passed away in 1959 at the age of 78. ✌🏻

We're playing this in my orchestra class and I hope we can honor it as much as Ms. Krijgh does... she's an amazing cellist and her emotion really comes out with this piece!

Harriet Krijgh. It appears at about 18 seconds into the music. She is excellent. Plays with passion. This piece always chokes me up.

Beautiful crying here ! Let’s not forget what this piece of music one who it was written by and for what reason! Rip to all that suffered at the hands of Hitler and his evil solders ! As we are now in a war against humanity! It’s not easy to think the world we trust the ones in power are not our friends they are our enemy and history is repeating

I've heard it in a Dutch documentary called The Betrayal by Technology, A Portrait of Jacques Ellul, it's up on KZitem, that's how I found this piece

Bloch never really left the 19th Century. In the meantime, technological Music has taken over, much of which is dry and soulless. I think many younger people will rediscover Bloch, as the World hurtles toward who knows what. The Rubato here is just wonderful.

I grew up only listening to metal,country and pop but I have to say boney james amd septicflesh is why I gotten into classical.this is the second song I heard of this artist,I can't spell the first one I heard but it was about king Solomon I think.it was a very powerful song to me and now I'm obsessed with this!
