It's so calming... :D The one thing I don't like is how most people, when they first get introduced to different genre's of metal, think that metal is just angry music with all the screaming and hectic sounds, claiming that it's impossible to understand the screams... But, like, I've listened to metal for so long now that I understand the lyrics perfectly through the screams, and all the combinations of different instruments and sounds just blends together and makes one complete sound...

Nah I think I get what ghostgate is saying. Some people will go through their whole life sticking to the same mainstream crap because they don't bother to try things out their comfort zone. When I first heard a metal song (by Trivium) I initially didn't like it because there's just so much to handle at once (drums, guitars, vocals) but once you get to appreciate it, it unlocks doors to eargasms. It's ashame to think there's people out there that may like this but will never give it a chance.

It's not just the fact that I listen to the same stuff that you do.. I also play the stuff on guitar that you wish you could play, and also know a little bit more about what it takes to get into the music scene than you do. I've played plenty of shows with different bands and i've learned that to be noticed you need to have an excellent look as well as stage presence. I personally wouldn't be in a band if the music isn't well written, so the ''good sounding'' music part is just a given.
