Some fun and practical exercises, I always appreciate exercises that hone in on one or two motions that you can really work on getting down.

New subscriber here. Been playing guitar 20ish years, got some good chops built up but I'm all self taught. Can't even count the amount of KZitem guitar videos I've watched. I really dig this video not only for the great, precise and targeted info but because you come off as human! You are obviously very good but your video is not hyper edited and you are showing the warm up process, mistakes or imperfections included. This is very practical and usable stuff that I wish I had known sooner. Keep up the great work!

Nice lesson bro ! Great points .. I been working on this stuff for 2-3 years 6 hours a day and it’s finely paying off! So many times I thought I can pick nice and clean but than I listen very closely and start to hear the mistakes.. Especially the 2 way picking and the 2 note pentatonic Eric Johnson runs..

The 2 note per string Eric Johnson/Bonamassa type runs are so tough to pull off. I've been working on Cliffs of Dover for the past year, and I'm still not really close to pulling off some of the fast licks in it.

Good stuff, Matt. I'm right at this point of retraining my picking motions, so this is helpful for some more ways to work on it.

Your audio monitors look really small. What make are they. I haven't got much room on my desk for monitors and I am looking for some slim form factor ones.
