You will have learnt so much from this journey! I'm thinking maybe an electric outboard motor for no wind and no (diesel) motor days? You would need substantial batteries and solar panels though.

No problem, all that needs to be done is swap out that engine for one from a reputable rebuild shop, and get a credit card from your favorite petrol company. 😅 btw, what kind of boat is it?

Okay as Dezi said to Lucy “you got some explaining to do Lucy!”. Why did you guys stay on the boat as long as you did? Like, what motivated you to stay on board? What was the initial trip idea? So At what point could you have left but didn’t? 🍻
@LyfeUntethered
Жыл бұрын
Yo. Spykers! My friend was hired to take it from the DR to the states. He invited my along to hang out on what was gonna be a pleasure cruise, lots of fun stops on a recently repaired boat. Turned out to be the opposite! It was miserable a LOT of the time. There were a few fun moments. I stayed on to no abandon my friend, and was always thinking we'd fixed everything.. then something else would go south. My son left after a week in South Caicos. I could have, but again, my friend, the captain...

@@phoenixlove76no they didn’t. If you don’t have a seaworthy boat, don’t leave. Simple as that. Nobody gets kicked out of the DR. You can literally stay for 10years without any visa issues.

Bro why don't you just fix the engine like the old rings are freaking broken? Your clamps are garbage it's like. Why would you even take the boat into the sea when you knew? There was problems with it this is how people die
