Bought one used in Alpine White with gold hardware a year ago. Even tho the neck came a bit damaged (thankfully not affecting playability), I got it for a very good price with a large discount and I absolutely LOVE that guitar. It sounds super loud acoustically, plays and sounds amazing, intonation is dead on, tuners are great. I used to be very keen on saving up and buying Gibson Les Paul Custom, since it's one of my dream guitars, but since i have Edwards, i feel no urge of doing that. It's the one that i will surely take to my grave, such an absolutely fantastic guitar!!

I bought the Edwards Les Paul Custom version - brand new a few days ago. It's amazing and I'm glad I could buy it brand new since I live in Asia. I have not played a guitar so much after buying it as I have with this guitar.

Hell yeah dude! Love this video, thanks for making it! All the right points haha, Engl, Edwards, ESP love! Good stuff! I have a E-LP-125 SD/QM in Black Cherry as a sort of Kirk Hammett tribute. I honestly want more of them haha or Navigators, any I can get my hands on! They feel amazing, that neck is unlike any run if the mill LP I've tried (cheap feeling), ESP is an amazing company.

Im so glad you came by :) In the last two years, between the two of us my father and I have bought 4 Edwards. I haven't yet gotten my hands on a Navigator, but I'd love to pick one up when the right deal comes along :) ESP is awesome!

I’ve got an Edwards modeled after a Les Paul Custom and there’s something about the way it sounds that makes it perfect for literally any style of music you could possibly think of. Also, PAF’s are criminally underrated for anything related to Metal, especially when you push the front end of your amp with a tube screamer. I feel like higher output pickups were moreso meant to be paired with some kind of clean boost or EQ, whereas with PAF’s because they’re as low output as they are, you can really get some sick high gain guitar tones boosting the front end of an amp with an overdrive, while being able to keep the dynamics of the pickups due to not having as much copper winding as say a JB or even a Custom 5.

@@GuitarGear1 I'm so sorry it led you to tears that morning 💔 I feel like that every time I watch old videos. The pain is still pretty fresh. I really should upload those Dead & Dying behind the scenes videos because they only live on Facebook. But I know it'll lead to a crying session for me too 😥

Hey Tyler. Sonny from New Orleans here. I had no idea that you had your own channel on You Tube. Awesome channel, by the way. I just subscribed to it. I'll be arriving on Bainbridge Island, Washington on the 2nd of July, and staying until the 16th. If you will be anywhere by Seattle when I'm there, we can grab something to eat, My Treat. I hope You and Your Family are well, Brother.

I’m a V lover, but I always love playing my dads brand 2022 Gibson les Paul. I’ve been hearing that these Edwards and Tokai MIJ pauls are the shit. Really considering one.

They are really hard to beat. The quality you get with the MIJ Les Pauls for the money is amazing. Tokai’s are great. Just make sure if you do buy one it’s a MIJ and not a Chinese made version. This video was a year ago so hopefully as I write this you already have one. Cheers!🍻🤙

Real ABR-1 bridge (mounted directly into the body), high quality pickups, nitro finish, 1 piece body, 50s style wiring and apparently no QC issues. Someone please explain to me, why can't we get a guitar like this from Gibson USA for almost 3 times the price? Not that Gibson guitars sounds bad, they sound really good, but just look at what you can get for about $1000.

Because Gibson are mass produced now , I have a 2008 Edwards LTS , it's the greatest playing guitar I've had , fret edges are rounded beautifully , not 1 issue with the guitar and it's 15 years old !

It's not the Nitro Lacquer it's the type of Dye's Gibson used to use in the 50's-60's the dye they use now does not fade with sun light anymore....

It is different from Gibson. The headstock angle is less and they use a long-tenon neck joint which only comes in top of the line Gibby's. Hands down, Edwards is a better value IMO.

Numbers in Edwards model names is a price in thousands of yen. And these are killer guitars. I own E-HR-98(bolt-on Horizon) made in the early 90s and E-KT-135(variation of Les Paul Double Cut with a strat-type tremolo) and the quality of these guitars are top-notch.

A few people I've talked to in the business believe it'll be vintage Japanese gear that will bring on the next wave of vintage collectors. As the American made classics have been swallowed up and launched high into the 5 and 6 figures, it seems the market will need new rarities to collect. I hope your Tokai keeps climbing and you get to enjoy playing it as it does :) thanks for coming by the page!

Edwards are far from an R9 Killer. Navigator is ESP's custom shop brand that makes try reissues. Edwards are about 70% made in China. That said, They are on par with a Gibson USA.

Not even the bit about it being better to have an Edwards swiped at a gig instead of an R9? ;) there's a lot I failed to mention. These have one piece mahogany backs and long neck tenons standard. They truly outspec Gibson standards, and for that reason I thought it best to compare it to the R series.
